    Co-Op difficulty

Is my own difficulty affecting my teammates in co op?
Because i'm playing the game on extreme difficulty and i have this one friend, how plays on arcade.
He just goes into a base and kills everyone without any problem. I just have to loot afterwards, that makes the game really boring.
The mini map is different for teammates, based on their difficulty. Now i'm assume it's the same for enemies (e.g. spotting time, damage).
In my opinion this is wrong, everyone in a co-op session should play on the same difficulty. And if i'm wrong with the enemies, at least the map should be the same.

    No.
Difficulty works as handicap in classical games.

If you are playing on extreme
and your teammate is playing on arcade

You will die fast, he will not. Same with detection and rewards..etc...

SHORT : Everyone plays on their own set difficulty.

This was something i did not understand in first days as i play on extreme since day 1. I have a gearscore of 180 and my friend got like 40-50gs. We go into high level area, i pretty much die from 1-2 shots but he just runs and guns and doesn't die. When i looked at him trough the scope eating bullets like crazy than i started to researching this topic and what i mentioned above is how it works in GR BP.

BELLOW IS QUOTE FROM Q/A with developers which you can read at this link

    Co-op

You are not restricted by the Gear Level or Player Level of any of your co-op partners. As was the case in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, your instance is player-centric. Your chosen level of difficulty and player level will have no impact on your friends, and vice versa.

    Tank you for the info.

Ok, looks like i have to keep my session private then.
I like playing with friends, but this nearly ruined my game experience!

The differences between arcade/regular and extreme are affecting the play style way to much.

I won't change my difficulty, if i want to run and gun i just play Destiny 2.

I totally agree! I have the friend who always uses the clouds in the minimap. Exerybody hates it. I think its fine to have a user centric version but it should be possible to set session settings like. everybody in my party has to play by my rules.

    A choice would be great!
The approach of bringing different skilled players together is great, but if a skilled player has a lower difficulty it ruins the co-op game.

It worked exactly the same in Wildlands. I got ripped apart by enemies on high tier while my buddies had a much easier time. I guess the option would be to never play with randoms or at least look for people that play with the same difficulty as you. A matchmaking setting that only matches you with people of the same difficulty setting would be nice however.
