I did figure out that it does save when set under 100... I put paper white at about 40,and hdr intensity around 80, with my screens calibrations (and I made Sony's a little darker), night looks fairly like... Night.Originally Posted by Fluxburner Go to original post
I haven't seen the daytime yet, and TBH, this too way to long, but I did get night to look as it should (except that constant full moon, full moons aren't even that bright in the snow)
And you're welcome.
Ah Cool I see. I been mucking around with it for a while since you mentioned that aspect. that's the problem then I guess for now as that works.Originally Posted by Detroit_Ninja Go to original post
The threshold on the TV is 100 max and all adjustments made should be from 10-100 only then?
My LG OLED 4K 65" TV HDR settings are set like this for HDR mode best practice for this television I've tried many variations on back end TV settings here's mine anyways.
For OLED LG series E8 & 9.
OLED light = 100 (must be 100 for HDR)
Contrast = 100 ( must have @ 100 for HDR to even work correctly)
Brightness = 50
Sharpness = 25
Color = 50
Tint = 0
Color Temp = 0
Dynamic contrast = High
Dynamic tone mapping = On
Dynamic color = High ( this is why I have color temp set to 0 above, if you don't have dynamic color you might need to adjust your color temp off 0 value?)
Color Gamut = Wide
I went in to the XMB and tried adjusting the HDR cal on the PS4 again. Then went back into game with that in mind and yeah it's actually working now.But you still cannot set it up correctly to achieve the correct lighting in game.
I'll try uploading a video of my settings and how it looks , not sure how it comes out on youtube with HDR though so it might not be a true representation of the graphics fidelity.
HDR paper white - 100
HDR intensity - 100
Using the sample picture to make the sky have the most contrast between sun,sky and clouds, so there is no white wash out.When the clouds are at their most dynamic.
Conclusion HDR calibration is not possible on my OLED TV to show true day/night gaming,
You don't need a video. He explained it exactly how it happens. You set it at 1000 for example and nothing changes in the picture on the right side. You go back to the previous page and then again to HDR settings and HDR intensity is at 100. I been posting and submitting reports since day one and nobody cares.Originally Posted by Ubi-Baron Go to original post
That doesn't matter. I was in PlayStation 7.0 beta for months and i have those settings adjusted. You can still change the HDR settings in game on other games. That's not an issue.Originally Posted by Detroit_Ninja Go to original post
I don't know but if I follow best practice HDR setup profiles Night time still looks like daytime with the moon out as it is You would never need night vision at night in this game with my normal HDR settings used with other games so yeah it's definitely stuffed. I've got probably the best OLED TV out atm for gaming bar none and the HDR is all wrong since night time looks like daytime everywhere?
Try having paper white around 55 and intensity on 87.Originally Posted by Fluxburner Go to original post
To be honest fellas, I turned my HDR off, and my pro was still at 2160 (or something) output, I could use the regular gamma/contrast/brightness, and it didn't seem to bring the image quality down...
That said, I shouldn't have to turn my HDR off... But someone from Ubisoft did reply early on in this thread, so it's probably being worked on for the end of the month patch (if they follow their traditional monthly patch work template).
Still an amazing game, turn the HUD off, cross hair is dynamic, and it's a beautiful world, just saying... There's a special scope to this game, bugs are to be expected.
Just saw this... Thanks!!!Originally Posted by ChadB140 Go to original post
