When I calibrate my HDR, it automatically saves, bit when I return to the screen to tweek it, it has reset to default, and after calibrate it, I don't notice a difference (the night, with a full moon every night, constantly looks like dawn is about to come, even from 2200-0400.
There's no option to save before backing out, and I usually get a pop up saying "would you like to save before leaving".
I've since turned the HDR off, and the quality isn't that much lower, but I'd very much like to use it it as intended, this is one of, if not the most beautiful games 8be seen to date.
Thank you.
Im with you on this, hdr is broken. ive tweaked the settings in the game, tweaked my tv, but nothing seems to work. If i get the trees & grass to look right, then the night sky looks like its always daylight, try turning stuff down to get the sky dark then everything else is just pure black. Then when i think i have everything set right i turn on my night vision and omg... Ffs its a super bright teal. Im done trying to figure it out, i turned off hdr
When I first played the game you could notice the HDR effect change from the sample shot on the adjustment setting screen.
The HDR paper White and the HDR Intensity when you calibrate the sliders it actually changed the sample pic.
But it only worked once and was too dark?
When I went in a second time no matter what you did it always defaults to 100 on both as you point out.The HDR is way out of calibration it's too dark no matter what you do.
My TV is A NEW 4K OLED ON PS4 Pro.
So as far as I can see the HDR is completely broken as it does not work.
I had to compensate the HDR fail with base TV settings as it was terrible, if I couldn't have done that I would have it turned off.HDR on Division 2 looked sweet on my TV shame it doesn't work like that.
Has there been a support ticket raised do you guys know if this is getting much traffic?
Hey guys,
Thank you for reporting this to us, we're sorry that's occurring.
Would you be able to provide us with a video of the settings reverting and possibly also the before/after In-Game?
We are aware of some issues with the settings reverting during a game session or between sessions and this will help us look into that.
Would YouTube format be ok?Originally Posted by Ubi-Baron Go to original post
All I have to work with is my ps pro & a cell phone... I'll give it a shot.
There is a full moon every night, causing it to look like day is about to break at all times, in a rural area, we should be able to see the stars perfectly. And the open beta night vision was absolutely perfect, why did they change it back to the way it was in the closed beta?
Anyway, here's a 4 min YouTube video I just made, I also just realized Sony added an HDR calibration option with their update today.. I'll post the video second, in case it e9nt accept the format.

Well in at least that's my experience on my TV which is a 2018 OLED, and many others I have spoken to in game. I am yet to hear from someone in game on PS4, that understands how HDR should work say that it's actually worked or working on there screens.
Also thanks for posting that video clip that sums it up perfectly as to how the HDR calibration is not working on PS4.
I wonder how the other platforms are doing regarding this HDR fault?
