I talked to a Ubisoft employee today about it and they said that unlimited had only been removed from JD games below 2019. In other words, Just Dance Unlimited should be available to both games for 2019 and 2020.

They mentioned that there could be a glitch that may be making it so it isn’t showing up in the Nintendo store and recommended contacting them to figure out trouble-shooting issues. If we are all unable to play it, then I’m sure it’s on Nintendo’s end since when I search Just Dance in the store, it shows other options except unlimited.

At least we know that it should still be available to WiiU owners. That’s why it still shows up being offered.

I’ll post if I discover anything else or any new updates.

After doing some research, on the Ubisoft website, it shows options to purchase Just Dance Unlimited for JD2019, then link’s to the Nintendo store generally. All that comes up is JD 2020, JD Disney part 2, and JD kids 2014 when I input an actual search. That’s the same as what comes up on my WiiU. (Minus the JD 2020 since that’s not for WiiU.)

I’m really hoping unlimited wasn’t removed on purpose due to the release of JD 2020.

This still isn't working for me but I didn't see any updates available, did the update happen automatically when you open just dance on your wii u or did you go somewhere specific in the app to start an update?

I've been contacting UBisoft and Nintendo within the last 24hrs and they could not resolve my issue with renewing just dance 2019.. They made me forward ports and test internet, and still nothing. Nintendo support don't understand why it's not showing up in the eshop. I've tried updating my console, but it claims to be up to date...

actually the update happened automatically... now that i think about it. it might be possible that i started jd2018 instead of 2019... anyways unlimited is working just fine now. next week i will see if resubscribing also works

I am having the same problem. It is extremely frustrating since I basically bought the game for the Unlimited option. It was working fine up until my 3 month subscription ended a month ago, and now I can't renew it. Wondering if Just Dance 2020 has something to do with this because it seemed to happen when it came out.
