    More issues

Why are civilians in this game so devoid of life?

Roaming the wilderness, see another two civilians being held up by enemies (same set up every time btw, 2 bikes, 2 civilians, 2 enemies). Shoot both enemies, approach civilians, untie one and he replies "go away". Not a thank you for saving his life. No conversation. Nothing. "Go away". Brilliant.

Visit my first homestead. 6 odd civilians apparently living there. All 6 roaming aimlessly in complete silence. They walk 5 or so paces. Stop. Put their hands on their hips. Stare vacantly. Repeat. And repeat. And repeat ad nauseam. Nobody says hello. Nobody talks to me. Nobody talks to each other. Nomad doesn't talk to them. These civilians aren't picking crops, or fixing machinery, or sitting down, or eating, or anything. They stand, and stare, and walk 5 paces, and stare.

What is going on here. In Wildlands, civilians had some form of work/life pattern. Walk through coca fields in the day, people are picking the plants. Arrive at a farm, people are stood chatting or working. It's window dressing, they're not ACTUALLY doing anything, but it felt immersive, like these were real people living real lives. Nomad and the boys even said hello to them in Spanish at times. Neat.

Driving or walking around the world and you'd occasionally see a random event - Unidad patrol with dead sicarios around them, vehicle on fire, someone hanged from a lamp post, broken down vehicle, little vending stand, hostage type situation. It wasn't much and there should've been some more dynamic and interesting random events, but they were there. Again, added to the immersion. The world felt alive, like a real place.
Breakpoint? 2 enemies, 2 bikes. 3 civilians, 2 bikes. 2 enemies, 2 bikes. 2 civilians building some kind of weird statue. 2 enemies, 2 bikes. 3 civilians, 2 bikes. 2 enemies, 2 bikes. Same conversations over and over and over and over again.

How, in the nearly 3 years since Wildlands, have you managed to go so far backwards with respect of designing a living, breathing world.

Also, attachments are f*cked. Putting a foregrip on my rifle bugs Nomad's hand completely and makes all the other attachments disappear. Why. How did this make it past QA testing?
Also, why does walking a few paces end up schlocking my rifle up with mud and dirt? Anyone who's ever been a soldier will tell you, the most important thing to keep clean (other than your feet) is your weapon. Dirty weapon - risk of stoppage. I liked how it Wildlands, after a time, your weapon would become a little run down - paint would chip off, the metal would be exposed, felt realistic. Here? Nope. Weapon stays in pristine condition, it's now just covered in 3 inches of mud.

Good explanation. I hope for progress here. It should be already set.
