    Character questing reset...

    I've opened a ticket "09901125" but I thought I might post here as well in hopes to find out if anyone else is having this issue and possibly get some devs to look at it sooner than later.

    After killing both Flycatcher and Silverback and getting the info about Anaya from them my quest line completely reset back to as if I was a new character. We cleared Silverback's bunker and looted everything then made our way back outside. We were getting shot at from up in the mountains so I took them out with my TAC50 and then went to loot them. When I got there my character kept looting the ammo over and over and would not stop as long as I was in range of it to the point that I could not interact with the "information node" that was there as well. After my partner in crime investigated the info I decided to logout and see if that fixed my issue. Note, I logged out not exited the game, then logged back in. This had fixed some issues during beta so I figured it couldn't hurt. After logging back in I fell through the world immediately then died and was respawned at the closest bivouac. I then was prompted to search for survivors as if I was creating a new character. Opening my quest log made it apparent that my entire questline had been reset back to a new character. Over 30 hours of questing just gone. Everything else is as it was, gear, level, spec points etc. I've tried rebooting my pc, and verifying my install files but nothing works. I can play the game fine as far as interacting with the environment but all my work is gone.

    I was told not to play my character until I heard from the devs. SO I either start over or play another game.

    So far I've provided everything I was asked for from the support team. For some reason, they seemed to think that my computer was the cause of my character's mission progression to be wiped?!? I was asked to provide dxdiag dumps and msinfo extracts as well being asked to run a verify on the install and "sfc /scannow" on my system. How on earth could my system be at fault? Can you really tell me that you store my mission progression locally???? If so what is the point of forcing me to play online, and how secure can that possibly be?!?!

    Now I'm being told that the problem has been forwarded on to the dev team LIKE I ASKED THEM TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I was also told that the devs would post an update on the forums here...seriously? You can't respond to the ticket in your system?

    UBISOFT you are really starting to lose my confidence in your company.

    I'm livid at this point. I've just spent the better part of a week. 50 HOURS on this game leveling a new character and bypassing my old one. He is level 30 GS 198 and I had completed the main storyline. I was just doing faction missions and while on an elite mission "restricted area 01, Offroad" I switched to my rocket launcher and was unable to fire it or switch to any other weapon. I could not cancel out of it or do anything so I logged out and joined my partner again after logging back in. AND GUESS WHAT??? NOW THIS CHARACTER IS RESET FOR ALL HIS MISSIONS!!!! 50 HOURS WASTED!!! ALL IN ALL 82 HOURS OF MY LIFE DOWN THE DRAIN!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BADLY I AM REFRAINING FROM MAKING A YOUTUBE VIDEO RIGHT NOW TELLING EVERYONE TO CANCEL THEIR ACCOUNTS AND REQUEST REFUNDS FOR THIS CRAPPY GAME AND UBISOFT'S HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

    Well, if it makes you feel any solace, I sent in a UPLAY + billing issue related question, only for them to reply that they have forwarded the request to the developers and once a fix has been deployed they will post in the forums. Really? I dont think I want billing related issues posted on the forums, lol

    This is the response I got from Ubisoft support:

    Sadly there have not yet been any announcements on this issue beyond what has been discussed. The developers have been made aware of this issue and they are currently investigating it.

    WHAT?!?! How does this address my specific problem, will you be restoring my characters? Am I suppose to watch for a call-out on the forums, "Oh BTW Zeeble we restored your characters"? What happened to customer service with this company?

    Are my characters going to be restored or do I have to create YET ANOTHER character and hope that one doesn't get corrupted? LOL fat chance. If that's the solution to this problem then you can expect a cancelation of my uplay+ account and the loss of a customer that has been with your company since "Raving Rabbids" and the original "Rainbow Six". What a joke of an experience this has become.

    This issue should be at the top or near the top of the list of things that need fixing. Its game-breaking, quite like Ubisoft is thumbing their nose at us as customers. They are basically saying they don't care about the fact that we paid them to play their game and when we did they put no value on the time we invested in it. Not to mention the time some of us invested in closed and open beta debugging the game for them, a job game companies used to PAY people to do but now under the guise of "early access" they get for free.

    I can’ imagine looing my progress not once but multiple times...C’mon Ubi this game is amazing but the the bug list is huge and this is a serious bug.
