I call BS, post screenshots, your only going to get 35-45 fps avg with a 1080ti @4k and make sure your in a populated area with a lot of buildings.Originally Posted by Poppadom97 Go to original post
No, it's not. And I don't care how much crap you type out it's a damn fact that you don't need a 1080ti for 1440p and never have. A 1080ti is considerably more powerful than my card and other than Ubi games and metro I pretty much max out everything at 60fps. That's a fact...not an opinion.Originally Posted by digsgravy Go to original post
I just used BFV as an example of a game that was optimized really well. And that is the opposite of Ubi. I love breakpoint but it's not overly optimized. It's not consistent and it needs to be cleaned up. On top of that just look at how they have made any textures at a distance really blurry. It when you go into a building the frame rate tanks...for what? There is absolutely nothing inside buildings to justify killing your performance. It's not optimized. You can't tell everyone on the past 10 pages with decent hardware that they are wrong. It's bs.
Well i cant speak for 4k resolution but at 1080p with your setup (similar to my specs) you should be able to run on ULTRA preset with stable 80+ frames.Originally Posted by Poppadom97 Go to original post
Exactly. Now to be fair grb is a better looking game but the requirements are drastic different too. GRB is not well optimized...it's just not. I don't care what some say who are running 2080ti taking about how well optimized it is. That kind of card should be running the game at 200 fps at 1440p with good optimization.Originally Posted by ES-Ulukai Go to original post
Hey my goal is not to prove you wrong, its to educate.. obviously its your selective perception and game selection and lack of understanding that's coming into play here.Originally Posted by Ohnoozer Go to original post
You said your card is about on par or a little faster then a 1070 and that your system could push 1440p 60fps+ np, Sure in some games in 2017 that was possible and still is, Six siege you should be able to get 60fps on mostly high settings @1440p with an OC. And battlefield mostly high not ultra settings you might get 45-66 fps.
I would consider a 1070 in 2019 a 1080p card, some titles a 45 fps 1440p experience, maybe 60 fps on low med setting
You can run Modern warfare 2 at 4k and half life 2 at 4k, but that doesn't mean its 4k capable for all games. Same with BF series @ 1440p and older COD and BOPS titles, it doesn't mean its 1440 capable for every game.
But your sure of it, because you can run all games at 1440p maxed out at 60fps+ with a card thats on par with a 1070.
What games would you say have justified 1080ti for 1440p? Because I can't think of a single one.Originally Posted by digsgravy Go to original post
How are you getting that high of fps with that cpu and gpu? What settings ingame are you playing on?Originally Posted by ES-Ulukai Go to original post
Well I listed a few in the thread, also it is defined by what you think is playable, my preference is 70+ fps minimum with maxed out settings @1440p, for single player and 90-120 fps min for multiplayer @1440p usually maxed.
With that said, I needed two 1070 in SLI to get 90-120 fps in BF1 @1440p and 60fps @4k in BF1 when it was first released.
60 fps with drops to 45 fps is just to framey for me, given I was ecstatic to run the original crysis on mostly ultra with a special config and get 28-30 fps @1080p on a nvidia 280.
1080ti games for 1440p
--------------------------------
Crysis 3 - 70-90fps ultra best Anti Aliasing AA could run 4k too.
Wildlands,- 1080ti Mostly ultra some high, reduced AA I could get around 70+ fps at 1440p but it could drop to 45 fps
PUBG when its was first released. 1440p 70 -90fps
Battlefield 1 (after updates) and BFV,
Gears of War 4
Batman Arkham Knight
Dark Souls 3
MechWarrior online
Remnant of the ashes
Tomb Raider series
Wolfenstein series
Shadow of War
Mordhau
Far cry series
Dues EX Mankind divided
Destiny 2
Fallout 4
The division 1
Witcher 3
Metro last light
Insurgency Sandstorm
And the list can go on..
