A new game for all the apologists. All these reviews below are spot on.

A true Ubisoft game. Not quite on Fallout 76's or Anthem's level. But pretty close.

    My opinions from the beta.

    - Laughable writing
    - Dull setting
    - Comical animations
    - Some of the worst AI i've ever experienced
    - Bad acting
    - Repetitive missions
    - Bugs galore
    - Empty & uninteresting world
    - Completely unnecessary rpg & looter shooter elements
    - Bad vehicle mechanics (mainly helicopters & bikes)
    - Clunky controls
    - Pointless & mostly annoying survival element
    - Constant detection & annoying bullet sponge drone enemies
    - Textures & particles looking like PS2 era. Lighting is good in places
    - Completely out of place social hub on an island you're meant to be alone on (purely their to pressure 10yr olds into buying cosmetics to show off)
    - The fact that this full price game has so distinctly been designed from the ground up to sell as many micro-transactions as possible. Disgusting.

All they had to do was make Wildlands 2. Improve on what they had done in a new real-world location with a deeper & realistic story.

Here's a few of the many reviews slating this game, showing it for what it truly is.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint reviews are trickling in and it’s hilariously bad!
By Erina Rose -October 3, 2019

Reviews are starting to trickle in for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and they are some of the worst we’ve seen, but hey, at least the memes are great.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an online tactical shooter developed by Ubisoft Paris . It is due to be released worldwide on October 4, 2019, but some people have got their hands on the game today. So, how are the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint reviews looking?

The game has been acknowledged for having a story, but as far as praise goes sadly it ends there. The game is set in an open world environment called Auroa, a fictional island in the Pacific Ocean. The player takes on the role of Lieutenant Colonel Anthony “Nomad” Perryman, a special forces operative sent to the island to investigate a series of disturbances involving Skell Technology, a military contractor based on Auroa.

It’s always a red flag when a publisher sends out review copies of a game at the very last second. It’s usually done as a means to damage control, preventing people from seeing negative reviews before the game hits the stores. This clearly seems to be the case for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a meme
Popular games industry commentary, Angry Joe (AngryJoeShow), gave the “beta” a shot and posted the results on YouTube. After a mere 2 minutes both Joe and his co-operative companion were stuck in the map, something that seemed to happen a lot to them. I guess you could argue that this kind of thing is to be expected from an open world game, but not that frequently. He also made expressed concerns about the stability of the game saying that it constantly crashed and he struggled to load back in to the game.

“There’s nothing really there that makes me want to buy this game,” Joe said while giving his impression. He continues, “my first impression of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is meh. Meh out of 10.”

The comments to Angry Joe’s impression are some of the funniest I’ve seen and make for some great Breakpoint memes.

I guess you could call it Ghost Recon: Low Point.
Sadly, it doesn’t end there. YouTuber DreamcastGuy absolutely ripped the game into shreds calling the game “absolutely evil.” He talks about how the story makes no sense, how glitchy and broken the game itself is, and how what remains of the game is ruined by some “incredibly insidious micro-transactions” that turn it into a pay-to-win style game.

Game journalists can’t stand it either!
Even the mainstream media seem to share the same sentiments as these commentators. Since review copies were only just sent out, a lot of respectable games presses are only getting the chance to play the games now, but that hasn’t stopped them from voicing their disappointment. Check out these Ghost Recon: Breakpoint reviews.

Mike Epstein at Games Radar says it “feels like a hodge-podge of contradictions” because the game’s “new ideas seem to be pulling in two different directions.”

    Ghost Recon: Breakpoint meme
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint memes are coming…
Peter Glagowski at Destructoid bars no holds as he absolutely trashes the new Ghost Recon instalment. “I think I’ve reached my Breakpoint,” he writes.

He seems to confirm Angry Joe’s fears about the game’s stability issues.

“… As soon as Ghost Recon Breakpoint finishes its 30-second loading screen, I’m put underneath the world and killed immediately. This isn’t a one-off occurrence …”

… We accidentally crash our car into a ravine and I jump out. My partner is stuck under the water and can’t exit, the game seemingly deciding his time in this world is over. Instances like this happen in almost every mission we attempt …

… It’s a struggle to properly convey how bad Ghost Recon Breakpoint really is. While I’ll reserve final judgement for when I get around to the Ghost War PvP mode, anyone thinking about grabbing this for a single-player or co-op run should look elsewhere. This is not worth your time, money, or effort to see through. Even Wildlands, as much as I disliked it, is a better purchase. “

I don't normally bother commenting on games.

I would normally say buy it if you like it and don't buy it if you don't.

I was really looking forward to it, wildland's wasn't perfect but I was hoping they had listened and made this better.

But with this game I am actually angry and disappointed, I feel personally insulted, the game was marketed and advertised as a tactical, military survival game where you are hunted.

What we got are minor elements of these systems, all of which do not work correctly or at all.

Breakpoint is like an Easter egg, it looks great on the outside but there is nothing inside but poor AI, complex and pointless systems, frustrating menus, poor controls, poor driving and vehicle handling I could go on all day.

Now we all know why this is, this became clear two days after the early release and that's the micro transactions, again I wouldn't normally be bothered and just say "Just don't buy them" but because of this it is clear the actual product has suffered.

Hardcore ghost recon fans don't want or like the division, so why put all of these mechanics into a completely different type of game and turn it into something it is not.

Imagine just for a second what this game could have been:-

You crash land in your chopper, injured and alone you are now being hunted by an elite force.

You need to escape the scene quickly, you bandage your wounds you need to find a water source to replenish lost fluids and hunt for food to survive!

You have to scavenge weapons and equipment from bodies or downed enemies, injuries actually injure those parts of the body.

All they had to do was beef up Wildand's, add proper survival mechanics like food, water, ammo, a working and realistic injury system.

They have stabbed the Ghost Recon community in the back by trying to push Micro transactions and releasing an unfinished, buggy product.

This is Not a Ghost Recon game and I am sad to say, don't even get me started on the loot and gear levels.

    I'm out.
