Large list of [Bugs] and [Feedback]. Big post, some very minor sidequest spoilers.

Alright, I've played Breakpoint for about 20 hours. I'll start with the bugs, then what I believe are big issues, then suggestions, and end on the stuff I like. This post is more to the devs than to anyone else, hoping that they see it, and if they do, hoping they can pass it on to the guys in charge. Screenshots are at the end (I use a super duper widescreen monitor, sorry if it makes it awkward to see).

Some things cribbed from my previous thread for the last beta.

    The Bugs:

    • Tutorial missions report success every login.
    • Objective pins are removed every login (I think due to automatically pinning then completing tutorial missions).
    • Bug still present where the game thinks you're in aiming mode when you're not. Thus you can't change fire mode etc settings, deploy drone, mantle, etc. Quit to menu is only fix I can find.
    • Occasionally unable to pick up loot or Skell Credits (but picking up plants/ammo still works). This bug also prevents switching weapons, or interacting with anything like vehicles. I've died to this and it sucks. Quit to menu fixes it.
    • 'Switch Muzzle while aiming' keybind works whether aiming or not. I've accidentally started removing my suppressor when trying for a stealth attack more than once.
    • Mouse wheel doesn't work on Side Mission list.
    • Joining a co-op game made 'Drone' ignore my binding of Y and return to X (which I made Prone, so it did both), ignoring the actual bindings in the keybinds menu which still listed my changes correctly. Very annoying, quit to DESKTOP could only fix it.
    • Severely misaligned cable objects, screenshot included (1)
    • Badly placed bridge in sinking country. I forgot to get a screenshot of this one, but it's a small wooden bridge that's too high up, so you ram into the collision mesh trying to run/drive over it.
    • Badly placed intel in Arrow Testing zone, making it unusable. Screenshot included. (2)
    • Area in Bald Peak Mine that *always* results in getting stuck. Screenshot included. If you hop over the end of one of those troughs you're screwed. (3)
    • Water effects during rain from water running off edges/roofs/stuff is misaligned, making for floating waterspouts. Too many instances to mention, first noticed in Outcast homebase.
    • The tooltip for small DMR magazine says "Less shots, shorter reload." It's 'fewer', not 'less'.
    • Lots of random explosions in the world. Great when they put everyone on alert for me. -_-
    • Reload time number doesn't seem to change when upgrading weapons.
    • Sometimes an ammo pickup gets glitched and can endlessly cause the pickup animation and sound.
    • The AI seems to get 'tired' after a while, sometimes. Enemies stop responding to noises and diversion lures, become much less aggressive hunting for you after several alert/hunting phases. They don't even pursue you on visual detection.
    • Any drops at all (ammo, materials) can show up as coloured gear loot drops on the tacmap sometimes.
    • Dirt shader is acting weird. Guns get filthy even when they shouldn't, and stay clean when they shouldn't.
    • When looking at weapons in gunsmith for a while, sometimes the gun changes colour.
    • Sometimes a sticky trigger? Gun doesn't always fire when button pressed, for some reason. First noticed with the Scorpio.
    • No way that I can see to view mission-specific intel for some faction missions, like pictures of objective locations, unless pressing M for the on screen prompt. It says there's a shortcut in the mission's pin, but there isn't one.
    • Soldier chatter about getting frostbite even in non-freezing areas.
    • Soldier chatter about losing too many men in hunting status even if no soldiers have died.
    • I get the feeling the entire game's dialogue was designed to be played only by a male Nomad. I really hope that's not the case; the dialogue when meeting the leader of the outcasts makes no sense when playing a female, since Nomad asks to see the man, specifically, in charge of things? Also:
    • In faction mission to run the blockade, NPC refers to PC as 'him', even if female.
    • In 'One Man's Hell', Samuel refers to player as male also.
    • In 'One Man's Hell', Samuel stays with his hands in the air even after the soldiers are dead.
    • In 'One Man's Hell', Samuel mentions having some traps the player might like. To my IMMENSE disappointment, there was just a camo pattern as a reward. No cool survivalist style traps. I'm listing this as a bug because I swear to god if those turn up as DLC items...
    • Missing magazine textures in gun crate in cutscene for end of weapon theft mission for Outcasts.
    • Lag when selecting materials for crafting.
    • Mousing over 'Craft' once materials are selected causes it to freak out. Only clicking the image works.
    • If two or more intel-having soldiers are downed, and you interrogate one, when you finish, the others die as if linked by a hive mind. Weird and silly bug.
    • I've witnessed multiple instances of soldiers teleporting around. Including an Incubus that teleported into a building four stories up and got stuck in a wall. Screenshot included. (4)
    • Using the dual-optic sniper scope, you can see the barrel of your gun disappear when you switch between view modes. It's very distracting and shoddy.

    The Big Issues:

    • Parachute-jumpable edge detection is still awful. Request a dedicated 'parachute jump' button (and please, make the fall damage distance relative? As it stands you can simply fall 0 feet - faceplant where you stand - and die, when parachute jumping).
    • No way to sort both inventory and the view for selecting items for the weapon wheel. This makes finding items, especially with the mark I/II/III thing a pain since they're not sorted in any particular order.
    • Movement is so washy that if you stand near an edge, you can't move away from it; the animation to 180 in place moves the model forward enough to trigger the downward mantle animation. I have died twice to this.
    • Cover system still needs work. Nigh impossible to stay in cover and face the other direction. Sometimes it's too sticky, sometimes it's not sticky enough. Which could of course all be solved with a cover button.
    • Enemies cannot use ladders. Highly exploitable.
    • Everyone's said it but I'll add it for the sake of being concise: Sliding on inclines is far too easy to do.
    • The pause between getting on a ladder and being able to start moving is way too long.
    • All helicopters seem to have cockpits made out of tissue paper. If I don't find them shattered, the gentlest of landings breaks them.
    • Having to sell/buy items one at a time with that good old hold-button crap. Oof.
    • Really annoying that you can't crawl under the temp buildings at checkpoints. There's more than space enough for it.
    • The 'dodge' is so slow and heavy it literally has no use at all. Maybe in PvP, I guess, but even then, it's useless.

    The Suggestions (or complaints):

    • Should fatigue increase over time? Doesn't make any sense to me. I feel like it should, requiring you head to a bivouac at some point between missions or find water in the world. There's a skill that lets you refill your canteen even in bad water, but I've literally never once needed to refill it in water in the world, which sucks to me (and makes that skill utterly redundant).
    • A suggestion to replace that redundant skill: Vehicle Blending. Make it harder for enemies to get alarmed by you so you can actually drive around and use the roads more freely without getting riddled with bullets by every vehicle you pass. It's already weird that enemies get all scared by the sound of you driving past. You're next to a road, dude. A car isn't a 'suspicious noise'.
    • It's been said a thousand times already, but I want to say it as well: The selection for cosmetics in the base game is kinda insulting when you see everything behind a paywall. Right now what you can earn in game is paltry compared to the library of stuff you have to pay even more for. Three, four backpacks? Gee, thanks. A handful of flat colours? How generous. I don't mind when cosmetics come later, but when all that stuff is right there in the base game, one I paid this much for? Too greedy. Trust me: Release everything you have into the base game. Make it ALL earnable in-game. You've got great artists who can make lots more for you later for your post-launch campaign, so add more stuff for real money later. This stuff's not going to sell right now with the outrage going on anyway, and you'll make back that 'loss' in good favour.
    • The fact that entire clothing/gear pieces are all painted the same colour, unlike their icons which are properly multicoloured, looks like a texture bug. Since everything comes in default 'endless brown' - every buckle, strap, fold, and seam the same colour - I can only assume it is a bug or just incredibly lazy. Damn it I can't even have blue jeans, yet the icon shows them as blue, as well as every single other piece of gear looking way cooler than when I put it on. Screenshot included. (4)
    • Instead of outright preventing the player from scrapping items in another preset, offer a confirmation/warning instead. Otherwise it makes inventory and preset management a real headache.
    • Ability to save Gunsmith presets and apply them. I spent a bunch of resources making my 416 rifle mk. 3, I should be able to pick a new one up and not have to reapply all my attachments and paints every time, or at least do so with a handy button that says 'apply preset'.
    • You really need more options for the weapon wheel. The restriction is meaningless when you have everything on you anyway. Expanding the weapon wheel would just save all those moments of pause, select something else, unpause. A quick way to select what you need from ALL of what you're carrying, please.
    • The Exstatic vehicle on rough terrain sounds like a raccoon in a trash can getting kicked down a hill. It's so bad it sounds like an error.
    • The animation for picking up bodies is SO slow it hurts.
    • Throw/Drop body pretty much do the same thing, the difference is so minor. Also, it's impossible to toss a body over a railing, which is really disappointing.
    • Enemy flashlights shine through walls. Maybe a graphical limitation, but it looks bad.
    • Option to turn off the manhandling of the camera. I don't want it to get close to me when I'm near enemies, and I don't want it hugging me when I'm indoors. I also don't want it locked when I'm looking at intel or opening a crate, just leave the camera ALONE please.
    • Please also let me disable the dumb slow walk when I'm indoors, too. I can't express how annoying it is that my character refuses to sprint properly when she's being shot at because she's under a roof.
    • We really need a throw rock button, straight from Far Cry. See my previous thread for the full rant, but we really really need one. Either to pull enemies toward us or make them turn around. I promise it's a solid addition to the game.
    • Cover takedowns. PLEASE.
    • 400 'Battle Points' daily limit seems arbitrary and needless. Not only do we have this paltry amount of cosmetics, the ones we can earn in game are drip-fed to us and demand constant, daily attention to get. It's very free-to-play and it's not a good look, get rid of it.

    The Good Stuff:

    • The game is gorgeous, in my opinion. Every biome and region I've been to has been a joy to trek around and fly over.
    • I think the map is great. I've only explored maybe 30% of it really and it makes me feel like a kid in a playground. Some of the bases and locations I've been to are so much fun, the world design and art direction teams did stellar work.
    • Sound design (in most cases, see above) is fantastic. Those big drone dispersal towers are frightening and imposing whenever I hear them go off.
    • Drones are also great. Both because of their sound but also their design, they're properly scary things to go up against, and they really make me sweat when I'm hiding from them nearby and they're hunting for me.
    • Enemies chatter about stuff you've done in the world recently. It's really cool, in fact I really dig all the enemy chatter I overhear.
    • The wind effects are awesome. Watching the grass and trees blow around, the Wolves' coats flap about, it's great. Now if only I could get a coat like that. -_-
    • The gunplay and feel is solid, to me. Sniping is fun and feels better to me than Wildlands (I'm sure I'll get crucified for that one).
    • The pinned objectives system is fantastic. It really solidifies the idea of being alone with a lot of things to get done, and being wonderfully free to decide how and when.
    • The investigations system is also great. Figuring things out, finding clues, and reaching conclusions, it's very satisfying and brings a lot more meaning to random collectibles in the world.
    • Driving is much better this time around.
    • AI is also way, way better this time around. SO glad to be done with the psychic enemies in Wildlands. It can definitely still be improved, but it's better. I was sniping a distant base and once they identified they were under attack and where from, all of them took cover inside a building, it was great and forced me to change tactics. Screenshot included, because it made me grin. (6)
    • Your controls and options menus are wonderful, especially the keybindings menu. So grateful that I can map it how I like, but I'd also like button combinations too, like ctrl+x or something. The HUD/GUI menu is great, thank you for all the options (and ultrawide support!)
    • The prone camouflage mechanic is great and very useful.

I will update if new things come to my attention. So far I seem to be in the minority of people enjoying the game so far. It's not a Ghost Recon game, that's for sure, but I'm enjoying what it is.

One big issue. People being locked to 720P in fullscreen, and borderless window not working properly. Appears to be a multi monitor issue, despite trying to play only on one monitor. Was not present during the OTT.

The suppressor attachment button thing is not a bug, it specifically states in the game you can use your gun attachment buttons while aiming, but suppressors can be changed at any time.

Stuttering makes me have to quit the game every 30 minutes.

    Main causes:

    - Social hub;
    - Cut scenes;
    - Fighting those mini tank drones on the ground that move around too fast.

Even after I move away from above examples, the stuttering continues.

Thanks, I missed that. I'll go ahead and rebind CQC I think, then.

Also it sure would be nice to get an Ubisoft response to one of these big, high-effort posts I make for them.

I'd like to add a couple things as well, since I was going to make a post like this but you covered most things I wanted to say.

    Bugs:
    • Some ladders can't be climbed at the base (one in howard port)
    • Some ladders seem to end before the top resulting in not being able to climb up all the way and getting partially stuck (several behemoth defense area towers)
    • (Already stated but I'll state it again) Stuck at 720p unless maximizing the window in windowed mode on multi-monitor setups
    • A lot of short walls/steps (1-2') that can't be walked up or climbed
    • A lot of unbreakable lights, some that don't turn off when the generator nearby is destroyed
    • Some weapons use the wrong ammunition (more below in suggestions)
    • Bivouac healing animations show bandaging straight on skin, but afterwards there are still bandages on the outside of clothes
    • Numerous typos and grammatical errors in english throughout the game, such as the menu showing "AVAILABLES MISSIONS"
    • Some subtitles don't match what is exactly said
    • "One Man's Hell" keeps showing the card as new intel every time I log in
    • Floor texture on behemoth defense area towers glitches out like it has two textures at close range
    • Enemies at a distance may appear floating or stuck in the ground due to distant terrain/detail settings, and may also show enemies behind cover that you can't see
    • Some gear clips on faces (one of the full head masks shows the tip of my nose through it)
    • Adaptive brightness makes it unrealistically difficult to view in/out of certain structures
    • Some enemy chatter doesn't make sense in context (using the radio to say enemies nearby every 30 seconds)

    Suggestions:
    • Allow all weapons to use all attachments (that fit), if I want to put a TARS scope on an MP5, let me
    • Let (L)MGs use suppressors as well
    • Replace ammo pickups that are specific ("5.56" and "7.62") with generic ("ASR Light Ammo" and "ASR Heavy Ammo" or something) and use those as pools for weapons so you can display the real ammunition used without having to add an additional ammo pool (which is why I think the weapons with wrong calibers show the nearest and more common caliber) Alternatively, display the proper caliber but note off to the side which ammo pool it takes from.
    • Use appropriately sized magazines according to ammo limitations (currently seeing 10 round magazines holding 5 rounds and such)
    • Balance weapons for pvp and pve separately; in reality SMGs, LMGs, DMRs and sniper rifles are used a lot less than assault/battle rifles for good reason, ARs perform exceptionally well in most tasks you might use one of the other types for
    • Add a center dot to all 3rd person aiming reticles
    • Add options to turn off/disable common 'cutscene-like' animations (such as spawning at a bivouac, using a bivouac, using a "preparation", etc...)
    • Add a menu to bivouacs (like intel/mission dialogue options) to shortcut actions like spawning a vehicle, activating a "preparation", going to the crafting/shopping menus, and choosing to leave at a certain time
    • During a certain mission, you are placed in a small area that forces you into CQB, making it impossible (practically, I'm sure some people can do it) to complete at higher difficulties/lower gear scores, and feels out of place in the game
    • Some cosmetics were available from maria in the beta, but were moved to MTX for the release; at least bring those back to maria's shop please

    Some more out-there suggestions:
    • Add a survival toggle like guided mode that makes bandages limited, fatigue, thirst, hunger to build up and debilitate you at high levels
    • Have civilians naturally cower and find nearby cover whenever a firefight happens, and stop them from telling you off in different ways
    • Have civilians and enemies travel to sleep, either by something like a Sentinel convoy or just to on-site barracks or something

As an update and somewhat of a shameless bump, the bug where enemies totally lose interest is getting very annoying. After a while of sniping at them and picking them off, the AI decides the best thing to do is just sit tight, don't call reinforcements, keep up the alert phase and do... nothing. You can shoot at them, get spotted, they might reposition a bit or shoot back but that's all. They don't hunt for you, flank you, nothing. Just sit there and politely wait to be shot.

It's happened a few times now and it's really ruined what could have been great experiences clearing bases. The AI needs a lot of work, it's true, but this in particular is my biggest problem.

Not sure if it was already mentioned, but can we address the speed at which your stamina depletes when sliding down a slight decline on a hill? I can run flat out and hop over fences with little impact to my stam, but if i slide for 2 seconds downhill i'm suddenly in the red and may start tumbling like a 2 year old.
