    PSA: No Means No

This is a friendly reminder for all those who are recruiting for clans: if you make a pitch, and somebody says they're not interested in joining your clan, thank them for listening and drop the subject.

I recently had probably the weirdest experience I have ever had in a multiplayer game. I was running around with a couple random dudes, courtesy of mission matchmaking, and they were pretty chill. We had a fourth, also random, who clearly believed in the tactic of "daylight charges across the minefield will always prevail!" Needless to say, he got booted. In retrospect, that might have been a tactical error on the party leader, since matchmaking brought in a new fourth. This new 4th almost immediately went into recruiting mode. And despite being told numerous times "no" by the other three people in the party, the guy simply would not let it go.

He tried buttering us up by telling us how good he liked our builds, then immediately went into how he could make them so much better. He tried to impress us with the fact he runs four different clans (Interesting, but not exactly compelling) and he was a well known streamer who'd played both Division games. He promised to get us Eagle Bearers and we'd never be attacked in the DZs if we joined up. And when those sweet words failed, he fell back on petty (and I do mean petty) insults. How we couldn't have been playing that long, how we didn't know what we were doing, how we could never truly enjoy the game unless we signed on with him. Considering two of us were at Tier VII and playing World Tier 5, it does kinda suggest we'd been at this a while.

The guy just could not take the hint. None of us were interested.

The three of us ended up leaving that party, swapping Friend requests on PSN, and running around for a couple hours more. So, at least one good thing came out of it. But my point is this: you cannot pester somebody into joining, particularly complete strangers you've met less then 10 seconds earlier. Somebody saying, "I don't know" when presented with a pitch is one thing. But a hard "no," let alone three of them, should be a solid indicator you're wasting your time. Honestly, the best thing you can do to recruit for a clan is to be an exemplar. Be an ambassador. Don't just tell people you're the best, demonstrate it. Don't rely on your Twitch/Discord/YouTube streams to promote your clan. Just be a decent human being and if somebody joins, cool. If they don't, also cool.

A clan is not a stash. People are not pieces of gear to be gathered up. And if you're having to sell the idea of your clan that desperately, it's not a group people are going to want to join.

"No" does, in fact, mean "no."

What's his PASN because I would join. I need a clan with a manager lol. I realy don't have time to find randoms to play the raid with. I have have a day job. So I need a clan that can do all that work for me. I don't even want the eagle bearer. I just want the aces back pack.
