Nice write up Wild-Recon...thank you for your post for our community!! The video's that some of these YouTubers are putting out are just toxic. Wildlands had the same mechanics as far as microtransactions. Not sure why its such a big deal now. If you don't want to buy anything than don't. At least we are not buying ridiculous Fortnite dances and skins...but these same YouTubers don't see an issue with that.

Have a great day Ghosts!! BTW, I LOVE THIS GAME!!

Thank You Wild Recon for doing a very nice job of splaining the store and what it means in the game.
Thank you for your answer in advance. I hope you understand that I am here to ask extra questions. One user writes that it is a paywall and the other one posts that everything can be unlocked during regular gameplay. That's why I asked the community. Of course I could have searched everything for this info by mayself, I agree with you but currently I only have a short time to look in here, otherwise my boss gets very quickly a bad mood.
36 posts allready? I'll get an extra cup of coffee from the office canteen if I can make 40 today! *party!*

    That's why there is backlash.
They removed skill points from the store. At least on PC. I'll be putting up video about the store later. It is no where near as bad as people are saying, though I get why some are upset.

There is a lot more you can spend real money on. Nearly every major gameplay element/design decision has MTX baked into it.

The problem isn't what they are or that the even exist. it's that they practically dictated the design and exert more pressure into buying them than wildlands did.
Plus in Breakpoint you have to actually craft the weapon via finding it's blueprint. Otherwise you have to buy it at a vendor after finding the BP with skell coins. Which you can spend money on ghost points to convert into skell coins. Where as in wildlands you found the weapon and that was it. They created a new gameplay interaction/loop and let you skip it with money.
I don't see the issue here. They want you to grind. If you don't want to grind than pay. They are giving us a choice. Some gamers don't have time for the grind but would chose to pay. I REALLY don't see the issue with that.

That simply isn't true, and it contradicts what is written plainly in the Year 1 Intel sticky.

G3 shirt. AOR1 and Tiger Stripe gear camo are store exclusives. It says that clearly in the gear list before you buy them.

There are a few others as well.

Who cares if the items can be obtained in the game or not. Anyone that defends this amount insanely heavy macrotransactions in a fully priced game, hates gaming i general and have lost their mind completely. How ANYONE can defend this type of greed is staggering and scary. Being brainwashed is cool these days?

I don't care what the product is i'm buying, I will never buy something when I know i'm getting scammed, how stupid does anyone have to be to do that? I don't buy the: i'm rich comment, because stupid choices has nothing to do with wealth or not.

The problem is that they designed the game around people purchasing shortcuts to their systems.
If the former post about the weapon system wasn't enough let me give you another example.

Crafting. it's a big thing in this game. Meaning resources are important. At current scrounging around for resources does not yield you a reasonable amount. It's very easy to blow through them. Fine. I don't mind needing to be more careful about what I decide to make. Then remember that they give you the option to buy crafting resources with real money only. Now it's not okay to make resources scarce. Because instead of feeling like i'm making tactical decisions on what to make its more like "hey if you want to skip out on this give us money."

Them letting you pay for shortcuts to your gameplay isn't them being generous to gamers who don't have a lot of free time. it's them praying on that fact and using it against you in order to push more sales with MTX.

yes, i hate these dudes dont know what you can buy and what you can earn. i mean in WILDLANDS a SHOTGUN with 3 Cosmetics for 20 Euros??? are you f...in kidding me?? in wildlands ALL packs in the shops were only purchaseable with real money !! in BREAKPOINT all weapons are FREE with progression. and in a Ghost game i dont mind much of Cosmetics or some EXCLUSIVE Vehicles because if I WANT TO PLAY a game with best VEHICLES i go for GTA 5. so weapons and GEARS are important and ALL OF THEM are FREE. the only thing is you can buy for TIME SAVING and some exclusive skins, cosmetics and Vehicles. whats the point now???

the HATE is so ridiculous!! then dont buy the GAME and stay with SH....Y paywall WILDLANDS for cosmetics and ONE GUN for 20 EUROS.. i wanted so many weapons from the Wildlands shop but i was never ready to pay these AMOUNTS of REALMONEY to get those, NEVER!!!

Hahahahahahaha….calm down little fella....we pay full price for things everyday in the real world and they don't have everything that comes with them. For instance, you buy a Jeep...look at all of those beautiful accessories (microtransactions) that you can get for it. Only difference is. No matter how much I drive that Jeep I can't earn that lift kit on the road or those tires by driving 8,000 miles. Same goes for anything...your house; want to upgrade that patio? It's not free. How about adding in that pool? There's nothing you can do short of digging the hole yourself to getting it started. Full price is what exactly? $59.99? Full price is a flawed way of looking at things. It is the fee for entry. You pay to get in and play what someone else has created for you. Then you choose to enhance your experience or not. I chose to pay $53k for my Jeep and still paying for upgrades while others may pay $20k and no upgrades. My choice. Same with the game my friend.

Your argument has no true substance. Not to mention. The world is greedy my friend and I am sure you are in some way yourself. We all are. We want what we want and some will stop at nothing to have that. To some money is not an object just a means to enhance their experience through life.
