Since I knew this was a problem (I just got an RX 5700 2-3 weeks ago) I did a full save just before I started the final part of Heir of Memories ..... The first time or two it crashes at the pop up hint overlay and then eventually borks the game save and it won't load at all ..... Reboot, start from that full game save and the same thing happens again ...... It's the overlay that is the problem and the lock up seems to cause a bad write to the save file and breaks it so it doesn't load at allOriginally Posted by Undertakecare Go to original post
I've already played through the DLC twice and was only playing Odyssey again because RDR2 PC is so broken it's not even worth wasting time with so I really feel for those of you that haven't even gotten a chance to play through it
I guess now it's over to the Steam Christmas sale to see if I can find anything interesting and cheap to play until they fix RDR2 or Odyssey ..... I wish Greedfall would drop to around 30 bucks
Either that or find another hobby until Cyberpunk comes out in April .....
My first time (RX 5700) was while using the portal to enter elysium, but after that was always while i was fighting the statues; As said before no black screens or weird stuff, only game closes to desktop. I tried the latest drivers and got something new, game crashed and computer got buggy as hell until restarted. Anyways I got back to november drivers that were more stable and uninstalled Odyssey until a working fix. Have a merry xmas everybody
Hi guys,
bought AOC Odyssey GOLD via UBISOFT Launcher a few days ago and i have a Ryzen PC 1600x with Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 8GB RAM. I finished "Legacy of the First Blade" and then in Atlantis i went up the stairs to the first simulation "Elysium", the game shows loading screen then starts the cutscene for 2-3 seconds and switches to a black screen and in 1-2 seconds i'm out of the game to my deskop. Tried several times to continue and then looked online and stumbled upon this topic. I see this issue is for some time now, i've submitted each time the crash report, i hope it helps.
However, as someone pointed out, the game is no longer developed and we may never receive a fix for this, sooo sad
P.S. I went ahead and bought Red Dead Redemption 2 and i'll hope until i finish it, this crash situation is sorted out. Thanks and good luck![]()
This is exactly this problem RX 5700's users have. That's strange but Ubisoft is on the way to fix that. Hope they don't forget us.Originally Posted by GoGuMiHa1 Go to original post
