    Trying to understand how this works with a specific case study: Origins Gold Edition!

    So, to get the facts straight about how U-Play + actually works, I would like to get a few answers.

    Suppose I get U-Play Plus now and install Origins Gold Edition (full game with all DLC, Discovery Tour, Animus Control Panel etc.)

    So, let's assume that 1 or 2 or 10 months later I cease my subscription. What will remain for me to play?

    1) The standard edition only?
    2) Main game plus Discovery Tour?
    3) 1+2+ Animus Control Panel which is activated on-line?
    4) None of the above?
    5) Some save files will no longer work while others will be functional?

    I would love to receive official answers only, by Ubisoft staff AND any gamer who tried the first month and now he stopped his subscription.

    This is what I see, after loading a save after cancelling Uplay+. They gave away Fate of Atlantis Ep 1 free so I own that. I didn't touch any content I didn't own yet in the end (I shouldn't have even activated it on UPlay+ really)

    I do have a backup save from before activating Uplay+ to use.

    Ok. So you basically revert to the Standard Edition, losing Gold Edition DLC. But you already purchased the game before Plus service even existed. The real mystery is what happens if you start U-Play Plus now and then download any Odyssey edition. Will you lose only the DLC Episodes or the entire game which was acquired 100% via U Play Plus????

    Also, check if DLC was removed from your computer or it is just locked behind a paywall. I don't think your season pass material disappeared from your hard drive.

    So the game cannot be launched afterwards even off-line? Is it physically removed too? From the hard drive?

    Once your subscription has expired you will not be able to play the game at all (unless you own it), the game will not be deleted from your PC until you press the uninstall button.

    OK, now I'm a little annoyed.

    I followed the steps here, before activating Odyssey Ultimate on Uplay+

    to back up my save folder as instructed here

    and I have replaced the save folder with the backed up one

    But despite my save files all being pre-UPlay+ when I load it up, I still get the missing DLC error, presumbly based on a cloud-based lookup. I am a little burnt out on the game and plan to buy the season pass later anyway, but I followed the steps as advised and I'm still locked out anyway.
