Locked to 720p, unable to change (screen resolution and display options Greyed out),

The game screen resolution setting is locked to 720p, unable to change, I have tried Fullscreen, Windowed and Borderless all are locked to 720

In the "online technical test", I tink it was running at 1080p (Graphics looked great) but the second "online technical test", Open Beta and now in the full game it is still locked at 720p, the Graphics look blurry / low res, game graphics settings are set to high/ very high.

Game is Verifed, it looks look like it could be a bug, as there is alot of players on the Beta forum with the same problem.

Running Windows 7, 16GB ram, Nvidia GTX 970 (driver 436.30 lastest update), I am running two screens.

We have news from our game team, and unfortunately, this resolution behaviour currently is intended. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Our developers have been notified about this inconsistency and are well underway with providing a solution, however at this time the behaviour is in place to mitigate other unwanted effects.

Feel free to contact us back if you have any other issues or concerns. We would be happy to help.

    Kind regards,
    Radoslav

I have the exact same problem. I was able to get a higher resolution in windowed sometimes but the refresh rate would stay locked at 60.

Thanks to another old post I was able to narrow my problem down to my multi-monitor setup: as soon as I disable my 2nd and 3rd screen and delete the GRB.ini file it works. However, that is not an option since one of my other "displays" is my sound-system...

Sorry to hear you are locked at 720p. Could you please try making a backup/rename your game configuration folder? You can find this in (This PC > Documents > My Games), please rename the "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" folder or move it out of this location. Then once that is rename/moved/deleted from there, please try launching the game again.

    This will reset all settings.

    Thanks!

I have had this problem since the closed beta; getting rid of the settings folder returned all settings to default but still did not allow me to change resolution in any mode except windowed.

    windows 10, nvidia 1060 6GB running 436.30, two monitors

Thanks for confirming that information. What monitors do you have?

Could you try unplugging one for testing purposes?

    Thanks!

I have unpluged the power and hdmi cable from my second screen (Tevion, TV ) and main screen (Celcus, TV ) I have played other game in 1080p,
Windowed mode still locked to 720p

borderless mode, I did have a option to change 720p and 1920x1018, but now locked to 720p after changing to windowed mode

Fullscreen mode still locked to 720p

Just plug second screen back in, change the game from windowed mode to fullscreen press F to apply, and the game is still in windowed mode.

I have just restarted to game switch to fullscreen to borderless (when to a small borderless window mode) then switched to windowed mode pressed the "Maximize" button in the top right (next to the close button) and now I have and option Resolution option 720p and 1920x1018 with both screens working.

I was playing the game today in windowed maximize, and the game switch to fullscreen (but in a window like windowed mode), and if I switch to fullscreen mode my mouse moves off the game screen to my second monitor (in all modes).

It look like the video options under "Window mode" and the "Resolution" need to be looked in too.

Screen shot (below) of the game setting in Fullscreen (Resolution Option Greyed out) but the game is playing in Wiindowed mode 720p

Same problem. Currently trying to change different values in the ini and set to read only. No luck so far. Next try is changing the main and output monitor setting.

I guess you can't edit posts. Nice forum.
Anyway, nothing worked for me except the above bandaid. Set to windowed mode, (win10 shortcut) hit windows key+up arrow to maximise, it's set to 1920x1027 for me. Good as it's going to get for now I guess. What a sad, pathetic launch. Worse off than the OTT.

Why do you guys select 16:9 if you're dual monitor users?
