Please fix base jumping! | Forums

Reported this in Closed Beta, reported again in Open Beta.

Last test I did before Open closed was to stand on the same exact ledge and try about 20 base jumps. Only TWO succeeded. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to making it work consistently.

it's not Base Jump, it's just a hand plant lol but yeah it is frustrating, needs wildlands code.

Interestingly in Wildlands I rarely ever failed even from lower platforms. Two people I play with though basically never made it work. Now in Breakpoint I can't ever get it to work!

Same here. It took me half a dozen deaths jumping off a mountain without my parachute opening before hitting the internet to find out why the bloody hell the parachute I wasted skill points on refused to open.

Turns out you can only activate the chute BEFORE you jump!? I ran around every edge of that mountain, and every cliff edge and building tower since, looking for places to register as somewhere you can jump from, and literally the ONLY place it showed it could be activated was when I was in a helicopter. That was it. The only place.

Why? WHY?! Just let me open the chute in mid-air!
