This is not what he is talking about, you can't one shot a boss with the build you're complaining about. Please don't bring discussions from countless other threads into another topic it isn't related to.

Actually, you can. I've seen it with alt characters that weren't at WT5 yet. If it makes you feel better, you were also right.

I don't think the condescending tone is necessary. We were all new at one point, and the least we can do is be welcoming to those who came to the game later. Bear in mind that someone who hasn't reached the world tiers won't be able to use most of the gear dropped by players with higher gear scores.

I don't want to have to start kicking these players out of my game.

I suggest using chat to talk to people, and see if they're willing to use a different build or modify their tactics. While not everyone will respond, some will, and may be willing to help you improve your build by providing tips.

I understand the OP's point completely and empathize. Not everyone is playing this game for fast and easy clears just to grab up gear. Witness, if you will, all the DPS players whinging about explosive-build players clearing a room before they have a chance to get off a single shot from their guns. If it was all about "fast easy clears" they wouldn't be whinging, eh? Some of us play for the challenge of overcoming the NPCs. I can't fault the OP for wanting to contribute to the effort instead of being carried along like a fifth wheel or spare luggage.

I just started playing this game and I was getting a bit bored playing solo, so I tried some missions in coop. Everyone I matched with was about 500 item level, and killed even bosses in 1 shot. Is there any way to filter matchmaking so that I don't get these players?

I don't think there is a way to filter the matchmaking. Another approach might be to invite players with a similar gear score you see at a common area (safe houses) or on the social menu to join you using the "invite" function. Option B is to join a clan where you can use the message function to mention the kind of experience you are after.

What platform are you on?

Can't imagine 1 shotting bosses but as with all games if their gear is good than they are going to obliterate everything.....it's the whole point of having good builds.
