Found a base for level 200 Wolves. I was level 47 (gear). Shot a sniper in the tower, climbed to the top of the tower. The wolves would enter the bottom of the tower but never climb the ladders to pursue or find me. I was able to kill all of the wolves without much effort.

I had a similar situation involving a ladder, and being on red alert. I'm fairly sure that the AI does not climb ladders at all. At least I never got them to do it, and they definitely knew I was up there. However them climbing a ladder to come after me wouldn't have been a smart move on the AI's part either...they'd just get their face shot off as soon as they got to the top. Deciding when to climb a ladder in a firefight situation is hard enough to decide for a thinking person, let alone an AI. Seems like a tough one.
