    Gun Feedback

    Hello. I tried searching for another post with the feedback I wanted to give, and I did not find any. This feedback is regarding PVE and PVP. Please keep in mind as you are reading this, that I am aware it is only a Beta

    Ok so I was a bit dissapointed with the gun selection that was available for the Beta. The FNF1 or whatever it was, was labeled as a a DMR. I get the feeling this is modeled after the real life FR F2 SNIPER rifle. That is a French Rifle still in service. It is designed to hit targets at 800 meters. It is a crazy accurate rifle. I felt it should of been in the Sniper Rifle category. It would of given the Sniper Rifles a non .338 option

    While on the Sniper Rifle Category.. this is perhaps minor OCD with me but, the Tac-50 is out of place. It has never been a .338 rifle. It would of been cool if it was a rifle that uses ammo that can only be refilled at base. That would give you room to make it more powerful than it is now. It could do something like ignore the Armor on the Heavy Enemies. It is tiring only being able to hit one area that will kill those enemies

    Same could of been done for the P90 and Five Seven. Their stats in the current state make them inferior in comparison to the other weapons. The P90 has less velocity or range than the MP5 which shouldn't happen. Same goes with the fact that the Five Seven has more velocity and range than the P90. Though it sort of doesn't matter because the accuracy is so bad that you are lucky to do something with it at a distance

    While on that topic, I would like to point out the SVD should get a buff. The rate of fire is the same or close to the FNF1. It should be greater than that, but, less than the G28 was it? I can't remember the name to that high rate of fire DMR. Either way, in the current state of the game, that DMR I can't remember will be dominant because it has the best stats. Only way to fix that is to look at the other DMR's and buff them or give them different stats

    I hope to see more variety in the guns and ammos with the DMR's and Snipers on launch. Something like the Mk12 would of been cool. It isn't a DMR but, it could of been a weapon with the Silencer attached to it already and no damage penalty

    Lastly.. What is going with AR's? They should have more range or velocity than an SMG.. I don't get it

    Moving on to PVP now. This is a straight up mess. Because everyone picks their weapons that means everyone is bringing a Sniper Rifle. This normally wouldn't be a problem in some games but, it is in this one. That is because it is a 1 shot kill weapon. Too many people were camping in the Beta thanks to that

    It makes classes other than the Sniper not worth it because of the short range. Panther having the biggest problem because it only has bonuses to SMG's and Pistols

    The only thing I can think of to fix it, is give Snipers more of a damage penalty for not being a Sniper Class but, then that would just cause more people to play Sniper. Idk what to suggest regarding that. It needs to be fixed though

    From what I've seen the guns are all named accordingly to their real world counterparts. So if the weapon isn't named an FR F2 then it's likely not modeled after that.

    And to your points about the problematic weapon statistics, I think that's in large part due to the fact that they originally went for the whole leveled gear mechanic and then basically nerfed it to make it meaningless, but they didn't properly modify weapon stats once they did that. Hopefully they fix that crap because it is rather comical when you find an ASR that has like half the range of an SMG...

    I took a look at some screen caps I took for the purposes of recordings. It is the FR F2 and it is a DMR. Can confirm

    Ah ok that explains the mess. Well I hope they fix the guns on release

    Another thing that I wasn't thinking of that doesnt make sense (other than the SMG) is the story.. Correct me if I am wrong but, the weapons available are from the Corporation or Smuggled in via boats. If that is case what are they doing putting a TAC 50 and the FR F2 in the game? If you are going to smuggle stuff, it would make more sense to get the common weapons like the M82 (for 50 cal)

    Only the Navy SEAL's use the Tac 50.. the other branches of the US Service use the M82 or the M95. Mk12 is based off of many common weapons which is why I suggested it (despite it being a SEAL rifle)

    And where is the M16 on that note?
