when i go to play online i enter username and password- select server enter cd key - then it takes me back to server list. choose again and it does same again . anybody no why

More than likely because you dont have the map that the server is running.

Farcry doesnt have a feature (like cod2 and css) to automatically download maps when u connect to a server.
What u need to do is to head along to a fine place called www.farcry-maps.com and download the map packs listed

Do i still need map pack if i only want to go on the default levels . like monkeybay. beacuse it wont let me on them .

hmm no u dont need a map pack to go on the normal maps

No error message at all?

- Could be that you have to enable pb.
- Could be that you are not patched up to 1.33
- Could be server is password protected.
- Could be that you are kicked for high ping or something else.

I was just guessing.
