Put simply, I ignored the loot. I turned off the display for collecting loot and ignored my stats. Instantly I was concentrating on the encounter instead of being distracted. Beams of colour that I should probably pick up even though it’s probably something I don’t want and will have to spend too much time scraping wasn’t part of a tactical raid. Playing tactically as a ghost is still the point, right?

Obviously this meant I was at a disadvantage in this version. I wasn’t using the highest leveled gun. I wasn’t using the highest leveled gear. I was never sure how many bullets to the chest would take down an enemy. But despite these disadvantages I was more immersed in the game. I started to enjoy it.

Breakpoint is clearly making a decision to go after a loot system for monetary gains, financially it makes sense. Unfortunately how it’s been implemented destroys the immersion that many fans play ghost recon for.
Making a loot and non-looter version of the game may invest the interest of all target groups and, in my opinion, may save the game.

This loot system gives an opportunity to make more money from breakpoint. This loot system destroys the immersion many people play Ghost recon games for. It’ll be interesting to see how the gamble pays.

Please implement a non-loot or a simplified loot patch to show us the finance department doesn’t design your games.

To be clear loot based games can be great, loot based ghost recon isn’t.

Breakpoint was going to be the first game I was going to pre order, wildlands is my go to game and I wasn’t sure how breakpoint could not be as good. I’ll see what happens with patches before I purchance.
