Hito is meant to trade as all heavies are. Thats why they need HA & their hp pool. The kick sweep mix up can be dodged with correct timing [although GB gets me in that lol]. Any char with a bash attack has a LOT of advantage over Hito.
They dont need to nerf chars you just have to start playing counters to the chars ur having issues with. Back in the day Conqs ruined my Zerker so when Glad came out i learned him & dined on the souls of Conqs since.

Let me make this abundantly clear; I am NOT "97% win rate" good. Not in the slightest. Purely carried by Hito. That's ridiculous and telling.
And I only declare Hito to be "boring" because winning so much with no engaging thought or effort is just not the case with the rest of the cast. It just doesn't work like that with any other class with HA.
You could either take opening HA entirely away, or slow down her opening heavy with a delayed HA to make it more telegraphed like JJ/Shugo so it involves more calculated risk and use to let fly. If you took her HA away entirely, the variable timing on heavy is a powerful enough mechanic to mess up the vast majority of the playerbase to get you into your mixups already as it is. This way she can be poked out of it with a light, and maybe as a trade-off let her lights in return start her somewhat in her mixup access. (light->light->kick mixup) Whatever it takes to make Hito less OP/safe to screw up and get rewarded with a winning trade and best mixup access so safely, so often, and so easily.
Also, the fact you get a heavy off of the kick instead of the sweep is asinine. Everybody agrees that should be reversed... it's so illogical I actually thought it was a bug at first. It's just more of "too rewarding" mechanics coming from Hito's design.
I don't have a "main" per say. I like to play a bit of everybody to mix things up, learn the roster, and have fun. That being said, I WANT TO LIKE HITO, but the character is just too easy, powerful, safe, and hence boring. She's boring to play, she makes my eyes roll to face.
