    Why I brought Breakpoint

Im the first person to write about why i wouldn't buy breakpoint. I did that in closed beat after doing that in the second OTT. The first OTT was fantastic. But as long as ubi continue to promote ai and gameplay that is tactical i don't see why a true Ghost wouldn't want in.

I don't like the level system or collecting crap that i have to then delete. Looting is a pain in the Division and i don't play it for that. I play division for the team play in the DZ. That is great and has place, but I dislike chasing the meta. If breakpoint goes that why it trashed and will be the first to refuse to buy anyother ubi game.

For its merits, Beta open reduced the level system to be something that didn't matter anymore, just as it was with the first OTT. Then the AI was change to be tactical. This is better now than wildlands. I can act as a sniper should. Its brilliant and its clear to me that someone with the experience of sniping has designed the environment. Breakpoint has slaughter holes. I can sit completely out of sight and take down what ever comes. The ai has no idea what is happening and it shouldn't. Wildlands doesn't do that. The original Ghost recon did. Thankfully Ubi seems to be listening and has made Breakpoint something like it. Breakpoint could be anything.

Im not interesting in robots or the terminator turning up. that is not Ghost recon as far as im concerned and its does little to take wildlands forward to include the terminator imo. Raids meh, I've had enough of those in Division 2. Perhaps it will be different, have to see.

The open beta for me has been a snipers dream. I hit with head shots btw so the sponge effect has not fulled me with fury as it has with others. Sponge effect is Ubis way to balancing.

the story seems good. helping a hunter was a great way to explore some of the environment. The missions are all to easy at the mo but quality of experience is high. To push ubi for higher difficulty for probably mess things up.

I hope to find other players to play a sniper recon style of play. There is potential to this game. As long as ubi continue to promote ai and gameplay that is tactical i don't see why a true Ghost wouldn't want in.

I posted this another thread but it fits here too:

"I agree carrying around 300 items is a bit far fetched. I'm ok with 2 primaries and 1 side arm. That's pretty standard and quite realistic. I basically ran around the whole time with 1 ASR for close to medium range or for taking out a group quickly, 1 DMR for medium to long range and my pistol. Honestly never came across an issue with ammo or really even used my pistol. BUT - I also don't try to be Rambo either. I use my drone to survey the area and mark all the targets and then pick them off with head shots and silenced weapons from distance/cover. The auto looting just by running by is dumb. I should have to make a decision to take an item and the more items you take on should slow movement speed. I should have to make a decision to keep the weapon I'm using or swap it out for one that just dropped. I think the rocket launcher should take up a weapon slot too. I like the idea of having to choose between carrying ammo to full capacity or carrying food/medical supplies. I like the idea of having to obtain a blueprint for upgrading weapons - like I'm stealing some kind of new innovative technology or something and upgrading should only be allowed at an actual base.

All that being said, the game is still amazing and it's actually pretty easy to implement most of that paragraph I just typed on your own. Simply don't hit pause to change weapons/gear and wait till you complete your objective/mission to return to base for upgrading. You could also choose to not loot anything at all or only pick up ammo/medical supplies."

I for one am stoked for this game and can't wait for the full version. Beyond some tweaks to some clunky movements and vehicles, I honestly didn't come across much to complain about and as I pointed out in that other thread, it really is quite easy to simply choose not to use certain mechanics in the game to implement some elements of realism - like not picking up loot. Just clear out the enemies and only loot the boxes. "Looter shooter" complaint solved.

Mate, I read your first post & is surprised to see a change of heart so soon. Btw, if you enjoy being a sniper, perhaps you can try out Sniper Elite series & Sniper Ghost Warrior series. Those series have authentic sniper mechanic IMO.
