Breakpoint sucks and this is not a GR game. For those who think this clunky mess is a good game or even remotely close to a military tactical shooter you must be high or stupid. Hate to see what you all call a good game. We know what you think GR is and this is not even close. Hope the game dies, yet idiots will still buy this garbage.

I think you're missing out, OP.

18 hours in I'm finding it a better game than Wildlands (and I liked Wildlands).

A more refined action-RPG than Wildlands which could be clunky and obviously repetitive at times.

A: Where have you been with Wildlands? This is the same system with additional systems added. This game and Wildlands was never considered hardcore realistic spec ops. If you want a hardcore tactical gameplay try Arma 3 with friends.

    7. Unskippable custscene before a difficult surprise encounter
A: After the first five seconds you just hold ESC key to skip the cutscene. Not sure how this was so hard for you to figure out when it shows the key to press on the bottom right corner of your screen when the cutscene plays. If it did not display maybe a bug but the bottom line the option to skip is available.

I agree mostly with your answers to the OPs concerns apart from the above 2:

    6. I'm not looking for a hardcore, ultra realistic game from the Ghost Recon franchise as I don't believe it's ever been that (comparing to Arms 3) but more a simcade where the simulation/realism is around 75-80% of the core game at the very least. So the RPG elements of Wildlands was far more in line with my expectations regarding the skill points and with that I could choose what I want to apply points to for realism's sake - I ignored all this extra VHC destruction and increased health as being skills. In Breakpoint I'll also accept the new skill tree and having to assign up to 3 of these when required however you can't really ignore the unrealistic feature of levelling your weapons/gear scoring as it's fully engrained into the game and shoved in your face.

Wildlands had no issues with different health for different enemies and it made sense (apart from the whole taking more bullets when alerted rubbish which also has come across to Breakpoint) - SB guys walking around with no protection were easier to kill when alerted than Unidad who wore protection but not a massive difference in number of hits required so it was acceptable. Breakpoint however is a joke when it comes to this. You have to up your gear score to compete with the top enemies/drones otherwise it's pointless. You have to do this by looting for new clothing which magically makes you better skilled and the same guns you've already collected but of a higher level that makes you worthy. You can't get around that which on this point alone makes Wildlands more acceptable.

    7. I had what the OP had in the game when you go to find a ship and see Fox and his kid. Watched the cutscene where the swarm destroyed the ship and died when taking on the ambush. Try it again and had to rewatch the cutscene again with no way or option to skip. I would like to think this has been fixed so that after you've seen it once, you can skip it if you have to go through it again. So I agree with the OP here and it wasn't user error as you so rudely assume (Xbox One X btw).

Unfortunately I personally don't like a lot about the game either and that doesn't only have to do with the microtransactions. Much is personal taste like the futuristic setting and the bulletsponged robots and drones. So unfortunately for the first time, I am not interested in the new Ghost Recon part anyway.

But also technically and playmechanically the game has too many weaknesses for me personally, which already showed up in the technical alpha and also can't be patched.
e.g. survival mechanics, eating, drinking, medicine,... The basic idea is good but the implementation is terrible and is hardly used. Some of my friends and colleagues who have been in BP for several hours now have also confirmed that they have never used these features or felt that they have to use them. And unfortunately this is also true for many other features and mechanics.
Of course, many people now think or say "so just don´t buy it".
But this is about constructive criticism and I think that everyone who cares about "Ghost Recon" and didn’t bought it this time, should comment about it.
Comments like "Boo Ho Snowflake etc." unfortunately also show that Ubisoft is trying to reach a bigger audience, which I can't count myself to anymore.

Got to laugh at the corporate defenders. They're like wee girls who insist that Justin Timberlake is better than Aphex.

I don't want a one-time done game unless it has a great solo/co-op experience like other single-player franchises.
How can a game with 120+ campaign mission's have no replayability? You must go through games very quickly with that mentality.

I'll never understand that line of thinking with this game. I thought the PvP was boring, hide and seek with guns. It added nothing to the game for me. Me and the 3 guys I always played with replayed story missions in Ghost Mode right up until the this Breakpoint disaster.

Since we know any semblance of realism is gone in the series we've moved to Red Dead Online.

Well, then I must be very stupid. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll be busy havin' fun while walking through a gorgeous paradise island then.
