Everything likeable about breakpoint was already there in Wildlands.
Everything new or changed in breakpoint got worse, or is outright trash

I agree there is still somewhere hidden a good a game in breakpoint, but its buried so deep under a lot of crap that I can't be bothered to deal with it.

Im convinced you didnt even play Breakpoint at this point.

OK I will provide my opinion a fresh one since i had never played a GR game till this open BETA...SO just know this is coming from a complete noob on the GR series. (Now that i think about it i did played some GR on the xbox 360..but only PvP).

I really liked the Open Beta, loved the concept, loved the environment and the fact that you are thrown onto this huge map to do things at your own pace and manner. Add to that you can do it with up to 3 more friends and this is looking like my perfect Friday/Night game.

I can't help to notice the trend here though, i have played every single Assassin's Creed game ever made, and played the division 2 just a bit....and i see the similarities here and this is something Ubisoft is doing on every single game they pump out....and that is the whole Item/level vs character level.....they constantly push you to go looking for items since at the end of the day that's what define your character and once they get you in the rhythm...BANG here a shop with a **** load of items you can purchase on an already cluster F**** interface that it needs a BETA on its own to begin to understand.

Then I found the whole "preparation" system kind of funny and i thought .."i don't see myself doing this before every mission"...hilarious how by stretching my arms and cracking my neck while seating by a fire place i GAINED 20% Stamina......REALLY :???

At some point i had ( and I counted them) 14 ARs, 7 LMGs..8 SMGs..11 HNGs plus all the rest of the crap you carry around...and im like...wait a second...i thought this was a realistic game, not only that in the middle of a fight when i realized there were three heavy Gunners i went in and pulled my strongest LMG and blasted them ...( Second Amendment at its fullest).....THIS IS RIDICULOUS UBISOFT......

I see an amazing game....this game can be simply great but unfortunately is buried way too deep under all the micro/transaction and social bull crap....Ohh yeah thats another thing why cant' i only see on my Main hub only the squad mates i am playing the game with??? why do i have to see this massive amount of ppl jumping and doing guffy things showing off their new vest ( 3.99) that they got with his dad's credit card and without consent.. THIS REALLY BREAKS IMMERSION.


If Ubisoft decides to strip down the game of all this IMHO unnecessary mechanics and nonsense GR BP could be one of my top games of 2019...no doubt....

Every game is really unrealistic, even ones that have survival mechanics you still have a carry weight in those games and can still carry unimageinable amounts of stuff as well. Also I kind of like how games these days are getting back into the rarity system as well gives each item a uniqueness compared to the previous rarity even though it might be the same exact item it would have added passives to it.

2/ you're supposed to be a bad *** why look like a modle ??
3/ Don't need them (i'm almost 60 years old and do just fine)
4/ Not had any bother from anyone
5/ So what you don't need to be there that much
6/ If you want a tactical shooter join the army
7/ All part of the game
8/ So you want to take on the lvl 200's with your starting gear/weapons

10/ If you want classic controls join the airforce and learn to fly a real one

Answered your questions easily.

1. Customization is still restricted to picking from a few preset faces, no ability to customize the face/body type.
A: Custom options in Breakpoint are more then Wildlands. While improvement can always be done we will never see customization on the level of MMO's like Black Desert Online in games like this.

2. None of the female face choices are remotely attractive.
A: The female Nomad is supposed to be an athletic spec ops badass not a Victoria Secret model with high heels, lingerie, and makeup. This criticism of yours is silly.

3. No AI team.
A: Recent dev blog stated this is in development for a later patch just not available at launch.

4. Constant nagging to "join a group" I want to play solo, leave me alone already!
A: Never had an issue even with over 50 friends on my list playing this game. You can also disable this in options just like Wildlands. This is a none issue.

5. No way to isolate out other players, that keep cluttering the safe zones, making for an utterly immersion breaking experience.
A: First week or beta will always show higher populations in social zones in any game that uses it. It will reduce over time. Again not that big of a deal considering Breakpoint has other issues more technical that needs to be addressed that is more important.

6. Enemy tiers, leveling, and RPG elements, that have no place in a tactical shooter, you're an elite soldier you shouldn't need to upgrade skills.
A: Where have you been with Wildlands? This is the same system with additional systems added. This game and Wildlands was never considered hardcore realistic spec ops. If you want a hardcore tactical gameplay try Arma 3 with friends.

7. Unskippable custscene before a difficult surprise encounter
A: After the first five seconds you just hold ESC key to skip the cutscene. Not sure how this was so hard for you to figure out when it shows the key to press on the bottom right corner of your screen when the cutscene plays. If it did not display maybe a bug but the bottom line the option to skip is available.

8. Looter shooter elements (one division is already too much if you ask me)
A: Gearscore elements while simular to Division is nothing like it. In Division having gearscore 5 gear cannot headshot one kill a gear score 100 NPC as Breakpoint can. Your comparison is completly wrong.

9. Absolutely confusing menu, unclear objectives, "check intel" How do I check intel? A: Every game UI has a learning curve and after some time I found how to navigate just fine. Can it be improved? Yes every game can but it's not like my old eyes had to read a four hundred page manual to Falcon 4.0 to get the game running.

10. Helicopter controls are the worst, bring back classic controls from wildlands then maybe I come back to the table.
A: Controls are not that different. I found mouse controls in helicopters a bit too sensitive but nothing I could not adjust in settings to correct. I have more of an issue with the 3rd person FOV then actual vehicles.

11. I'd rather walk 2 clicks in the beta than drive driving/riding was so bad.
A: What game where you playing? Sounds like you have more technical hardware issues impacting your performance than actual in-game vehicle issues.

12. The lighting is terrible most of the time, I felt like I was playing FarCry from 2004, Wildlands looks better overall.
A: During closed beta, HDR was completely washed out but improved a lot in Open Beta. I am not following how the lighting was so bad. I run the game on an RTX 2080 TI at 4K with an HDR monitor and it looks leaps beyond Wildlands in lighting. If the quality is that bad it is either your lack of hardware forcing you to lower the settings to get considerable frame rates or optimization bugs you are experiencing.

Disclaimer: Wildlands was my choice for GOTY 2017, and I've played it 100 hours in solo, and I'm one of the few who also enjoyed and praised Narco Road.

He's not alone so they will feel it. I predict the game will soon have a free play weekend because of those missing sales and shortly after it will be on sale for 40% off because of those lost sales.

Nah they won't give a toss like most big companies
