I mentioned in the welcome thread, I think it would be a bit of enjoyment for some of the people here to play against you guys in custom games whether it's Mike Myers or just some good old Bomb.
Used to do it a lot on GRAW with the Ubi-Paladin and Ubi-Cleaneasy (Kleaneasy? was years ago) and was always a good laugh.
I can't think of any equivalent sound to the French "U" in the English language, but it's far from the "you". That said, these are English speaking forums and most people pronounce as you in English so I don't think it really matters.Originally Posted by kamakazimerc1 Go to original post
PS: The "bi" part is pronounced as you said, "be".

Does "Ubi" actually mean something in French?
I appreciate the funny name suggestions, but let's try to keep the thread on topic here and try not to spam the thread as much :P
Interesting idea! A community play event would be really fun to organize. To be fair, I'm not super stellar at Siege so it may be an easy curb stop on me :P I've been practicing more often though and trying to expand what operators I play.Originally Posted by D4NW0LF Go to original post

At least, not on its own. It's a prefix and in this case, most likely comes from ubiquité, which itself comes from the latin "ubique". If I'm not mistaken, it translate to ubiquity in English.
In this case, it would be "UBIquitéSOFTware", or "omnipresent software".
Ah, ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.Originally Posted by Morfanos Go to original post
