The way helicopters move feels like they are stuck on a horizontal plane. The controls and movement are extremely elementary and too basic. I dislike comparing games but to better illustrate my point, Grand theft auto V has an outstanding control system and movement on their helicopters. Movements such as roll left and roll right allow for advance dynamic turning and banking which Breakpoint sadly lacks. Guys I love all the new content added to Breakpoint, PLEASE fix the way helicopters move. Thank you!!!
I have used 2 helos in game.
The one outside Erewhon and an Cobra-like with rockets.
The first one is easy to fly, no issue there during all my flights. As for the other one, on the contrary, I felt it very uneasy to control, the crosshair was tilting all the time making it impossible to aim at average distances.
Also, there were limited ammo but no counter to watch! At some point I found my self out of ammo, and I was both pleased (yep, realistic!) and annoyed since I had no clues on limited ammo.
I'm with you on this one. I, don't like this Helicopter controls, you can't dive down, you have to hold the L2 to go down, there is no camera movement to look left or right you basically have to turn the Helicopter left and right to turn.Like I, reported in the last Beta Wildlands Helicopter controls were way better, you could point the left stick forward to let the Helicopter nosedive and turn it left to right with the left thumbstick. So yes Ubisoft Paris needs to fix this and fast.
Completely agree with Cessna202. I understand each player has their own preferences for flight mechanics. It would be nice if control options were added to the settings (similar to what was presented in Wildlands). The right analog stick is mapped with no option to disable. Can no longer rotate view without turning the copter. Classic wildlands controls should be added as an option.
