Immediate tweaks needed
1. The "paint" on plants, trees, snow, etc rubs off on my gun, clothes, and boots WAY too easily. I like the idea of getting a little dirty or worn and being in the mud is fine, but tone it way down, like almost off. My gun looks like it was dipped in chocolate 99% of the time, and my boots look like green spray paint constantly.
2. The helicopter physics feel like a top-down arcade game from the late 80's and early 90's. Think Midway 1942, 1943, Galaga type garbage. The original out-of-the-box Wildlands helo physics are PERFECT. That "feel" with the new controls is desperately needed. The helo slides forward, back, side to side like a light-weight toy, it has no weight, you can start, stop, or turn instantly and it feels terrible. At least add the classic helo controls to the options.
3. We need a way to disable/copy/remove presets. As it is when you have all the classes unlocked it saves a gear preset on each one on it's own, and when we get something better(which is constanly), it won't let you dismantle the old gear because it's part of a preset in all four classes. You have to go to a camp, activate all 4 classes one at a time and change the gear in EVERY class before you can dismantle or sell the old gear.
4. The prone controls are clunky and do not allow you to look in a direction and slide(strafe) to the left or right, or creep forward or back a few inches or whatever. When prone on the edge of a cliff and you need to adjust a bit to the left or right, the character turns his whole body in that direction. If we could aim in with the left trigger(console) and lock that position then slide left or right, forward or back, that would solve the issue.
5. The camera likes to be in the characters back sometimes, and other times, its back way too far. We need an adjustment slider, or FoV setting or something. The camera is fine when aiming over the shoulder. Also, please let us turn off the camera auto shoulder switch thing, if i want it over the right shoulder, it needs to stay there, if the camera clips into a building, we will swap it on our own.
6. It would be VERY nice to be able to move and/or equip any item in any position in the quick select wheel. In co-op a medic could load up on healing, food items, etc or a grenadier could have mines, a launcher, grenades, c4, etc...it would allow further "class" setups for squads and keep people out of their menus and in the game. There is enough menu management as it is.
7. Breath-hold is a disaster. It does not function properly and lightly squeezing the trigger is a pain. Some people have new controllers, some have old ragged-out controllers. I have the elite with hair trigger locks and this function does not work for me and my team. IT HAS TO BE ADJUSTED or re-mapped because there is lot of sniping in this game.
8. The vehicle engine sounds are so bad, that I don't even know what to say. Unless you have the pedal on the floorboard the whole time, the engine/trans shifts back and forth and does all kinds of crazy stuff. You can't drive WFO all the time, especially on a bike, half throttle cruising to maintain control is a must, but it sounds so bad, we would rather walk.
9. How is it that we can carry 10 rifles, 5 pistols, 6 DMR's, 4 helmets, 6 pairs of boots, 8 of every kind of plant, tech parts, etc? This is nonsense. When a weapon/gear is dropped in the world and you walk to it, you should HAVE to dismantle it or IF you have the space, pack it. The little items/parts are fine and a few pistols, an SMG or 2 and a helmet, or one pair of boots and several attachments, things that would fit in a backpack, i can understand but carrying eight .50 caliber sniper rifles is rediculous. A man could sling an extra "must-have" rifle on his back, maybe even 2, and I know it's a game, but damn guys, let's lessen the gear drops, and up the drop quality to compensate. If nothing else, add a storage inventory to those vehicles(except the bikes) that y'all allow us to buy now. That would add a nice layer to the realism, keeping up with/taking care of your vehicle. Clear a location then bring the truck down and load up all the gear that dropped, or that was in chests. You could sell off all the stuff in your truck anytime you go to a camp or store no matter where your vehicle is, and any fast travel takes your vehicle with you. If you get your vehicle destroyed, the gear is destroyed as well -If packing 2 tons of crap in a backpack to sell is that important, up the monetary rewards off enemies, out of chests, mission rewards, etc.
10. The auto cover system could use some polish. It's not horrible, but It can, at times, get you killed. Sometimes the character doesn't pop up high enough to clear cover, or won't rotate all the way around a corner when aiming.
-The game isn't a disaster, and has great potential, even though the futuristic drones and all the tech isn't everyone's favorite decision. The thing is, Wildlands was so good that the bar is set high for Breakpoint, and it(Breakpoint) needs to tighten everything up, and adapt a bit to clear that bar.
