    Hills and Cover

So outside of the vehicles feeling a bit off, my main gripes are with the hill sliding and cover.

It simply feels too easy to just start sliding down a hill and the resulting stamina drain seems excessive. Seems my operator would be capable of braving a 15 degree decline with instantly sliding 50m. It also seems nonsensical that after sliding for 5m that I would run out of stamina and start tumbling end over end. The second concerns me more from a game play standpoint. I'd kind of be ok with sliding at the slightest decline if my operator could actually traverse a reasonable distance without running out of stamina into a tumble, then eat a exhaustion penalty after a couple hills.

I'm kind of on the fence about the contextual cover. I like the idea, but I think the implementation is a little too loose. Being repeatedly forced into "cover" while trying to traverse a vertical staircase up one of the many towers while chasing after a chest (and then back down again) is superbly clunky. Would love to see some type of "pause" built into the cover mechanic whereby I run up to a wall, a certain millisecond "pause" occurs, then I go into cover on the wall. Basically my keystroke should be directed at the wall for a brief period before the games tries to put me in cover behind it. As is it doesn't seem like I'm purposefully putting myself in cover and just happen to go into cover when I run too close to any structure that can serve as cover. The worse offender being ladders where I want to hold space to ascend, but somehow I go into cover behind it. I cursed ladders too many times to count during the beta...

    My two cents.

Bonus feedback: Multiplayer player indicators need some work. Played pretty consistently in a 4 person group and the accuracy with which our map indicator located us bordered on ridiculous many times (e.g. player standing next to me with an indicator halfway across the island).

There is a skill in the skill tree that reduces stamina drain during sliding and also seems to control the slide better. Once I took that skill things were much better. But overall I agree that it is far to easy to slide.

Yeah I had that skill. Agree that it made the stamina drain and traverse more bearable, but the stamina drain in particularly still felt overtuned to me. Thanks for hitting on the skill though!
