Gunplay and guns stats are so not realistic what a disappointment

These are my game impressions so far after completing the beta. I find the game awesome and way better than wildlands. Also the investigation thing is very good you feel like you have to do everything by yourself mostly when you play with no hud, no guided mode and in extreme difficulty (that’s what I do). BUT there are things that don’t like at all:
    - the gear ranking system make it look more like a looter shooter and THIS IS NOT OK in a game in which we’re supposed to feel like real operators, we’re not playing The Division. So besides attachements nothing should affect weapons’ stats..
    - the gunplay feels very shallow, I feel like the guns are powerless I don’t really feel the firepower when I shoot, it’s like an arcade shooter. Sounds, recoil, vibrations must be worked out and amplified substantially, matching the real weapon’s behavior.
    - something wrong in weapons stats. How come the caliber of the Barret M82 and the Tac50 is .338? That is not possible those are 50cal anti material sniper rifles. In the stats of the 516 AR the caliber is 7.62mm and it deals « 20 » damage when the 416 with a 5.56mm caliber deals « 26 » damage, that’s is not logical at all! 7.62mm is a lot more powerful than 5.56mm. The mk17 mag holds 30 rounds come on are you serious ? In real life it’s a 20 rounds mag. In a game like Ghost Recon, gun stats MUST match real life ones for more realism. Gear system and gunplay is killing the game because none of it is realistic.

Don’t get me wrong I really enjoy the game, but these must imperatively be worked on. Btw I also wish that you could add the flashlight in weapon attachments. Laser sight on top rail and flashlight on side rail. It would be great to have a larger variety of attachments for all weapons. And not putting limits to the attachments available for each weapon, mostly AR and SMGs. For exemple vertical foregrip should also bi available for the 516 and the M4A1, not only for the 416.

I’m really disappointed because in a game like that, the realism of gunplay and gun stats is everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING. I’m a real Ghost Recon lover but if you keep it like that people are going to buy Modern Warfare instead of Breakpoint. Don’t kill our game please, there is Tom Clancy’s The Division and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon for a reason, don’t ruin it.

    I agree with u man.

I agree with all u say dman, I loved and was obsessed with wildlands and I happen to play the exact style as u. this game has so much potential and I hope Ubisoft can pull it off.

Agree, the guns and the attachments add to the realism, and getting to delve into that is a big part of the appeal, so being accurate to that is meaningful. Fully agree with the OP.
