I am a huge UBISOFT fanatic, I love their innovation and vision when it comes to making games and I am happy with Breakpoint as a whole but I must voice a grievance.
QUE scene, customization of my personal Nomad finished and we fly straight into an amazing sequence with great cinematic flair and immediate drama that has me totally excited and wired. I am blessed with beautiful physics and character model movements through a living and breathing world that has so much beauty and excitement in store for me. My character limps around and desperately wraps up their injuries, pushing through what promises to be an unforgiving and harsh environment with the dreaded feeling of being totally cut off from reinforcements. ---
---Next minute I walk into a giant underground player hub base and I wonder why the theme of survival was emphasized so much during the hype. All of a sudden I am surrounded by a whole bunch of friendly player interactions with both players and scripted cowboys and I am left with my immersion completely spoiled by what has suddenly gone from "overall tense and genuine survival theme" to "the big player/quest center of a game like Destiny 2". I will sum up with some pro's and cons.
Pros:
The way the operator moves is amazing.
The gunplay is solid and I don't even mind the leveling system of guns
The driving is a great update from wildlands
The enviroment is 10 outa 10
Jon Bernthal
My character has a voice and personality
The enemy AI is really fun to play against
Stealth is improved
Classes are a great implement
Cons:
Clumsy voice acting from a lot of characters found in main base.
Main base is generally dumb
Store to spend credits breaks immersion, I don't want anymore than a little bivouac.
Can't pick up enemy weapons
Characters look a little dumb with two weapons slung over each shoulder, to the point where I was trying to figure out how to have second slot unequipped.
Lots of invisible wall glitches.
Ammo should be rethought and redesigned.
