When will things be fixed? It is not possible to build a competitive community with a game in such poor state of balance.
Logistical fighting mechanics is what this thread is focused on. Like why can RAIDER or LB dodge faster than any assassin? Makes absolutely no sense.
Functionality of the game is STILL an issue. Try to use Warlords jumping heavy attack after switching guardlocked opponents & half the time it whiffs, going towards the previous target in direction & not towards who you are locked onto.
I only play like 7 characters consistently so I know theres gotta be other issues out there with chars i dont play.
There's been a fair amount of balance changes lately, particularly if you include the hero changes we tried in the Testing Grounds. Warlord was one of those heroes.
But even without that or getting into the specific hero changes (which there's been a whole lot of), there were the important changes to "escape" (back-dodging/going out-of-lock), plus there's been a pretty big focus on shortening recoveries lately.
It's hard to answer with a "when", because balance is always going to be something that we're working on.

My question is why aren't functional changes made across a class? Like why do some assassins have slower attacks than others? Why does Hito's / Shugoki's hyper armor heavies activate so much quicker than Jiang Jun or Warlord? It gives advantage to some chars over others even within the same class.... that is kinda the definition of unbalanced. Like why even bother playing Warlord when Shugoki has the same kit + a lot more??
Why do some assassins get given undodgeable dash attacks & some dont? Its more of a philosophical question of how the decisions are made to adjust chars.
Like with the update to PK for example. As my Glad with the current 600ms guard, once im bleeding & her lights become enhanced, i am put into the light spam blender. Theres nothing i can do except attempt to parry a light on console which is difficult. I cant get an attack in cuz shes too fast, i cant stop her chain to start an offensive move, & i cant even dodge cuz of the new speed of her animation recovery.
Things like dodges being nerfed as they have been, to me in my opinion, was a negative in my eyes. No way to escape a death ball with no dodge & the animation stun locks.

I have passed the character over as my new main because it was far to effective. I try main the worse, and after PK buff had to start looking around again, thought shino was an obvious target with the number of complaints about the character but... just no. The character just lost some training wheels in term of what it can do, now you have to time/correctly read moves rather than just power through
Re: the OP point, the damn raider/hito/jorm need to be put in line... the game is riddled with the same 3 moves being spammed (win or lose, its getting boring as all hell)

When will unilateral characteristics be applied across classes? 500ms lights for heavy chars, hyper armor timing thats consistently viable [JJ, Warlord barely get it yet Shugo its instant light HA].
Recovery time updates for ALL assassins?!
I miss having actual classes of characters in this game.

The dodge have the same timing the only one with faster dodges then normal is offensive stance highlander with 400ms dodges.
