PVP gameplay feedback
Firstly, Ubisoft, try not to delete this one as you have for my other feedback in Closed beta.
Secondly, here are the pros and cons that I see so far after 4 hours in PVP
Pros:
- Larger maps, it actually feels less repetitive and more ways to move around
- No lag switchers so far so I guess the dedicated servers are true
Cons:
- The gameplay overall just seems so slow and lagging unlike Wildlands where it is much easier to react, maneuver and return fire.
- The radiation circle: why bringing that battle royale element over to a tactical shooter? Just why?
- The NVG cannot see at the distance, just pitch black.
- Bugs, too many bugs (medic drone cannot revive, gas drone cannot drop gas, stuck and cannot get out of the drone)
- Sniping is too slow and clunky, Wildlands PVP is way, and I mean it, way way better!
- That sound when the bullet hits the body is not there. Can be tricky to tell if I actually hit the guy
- The animation to carry the body to safety for revive takes too long. Just the time to carry the body and get him to safety only and not revived yet; I could have revived 1, run roughly 50 meters and revive another one.
Finally, I am so glad I cancelled my Ultimate preorder. Wildlands took 5 years to develop while Breakpoint took how long? Yet the difference is undeniable. Wildlands do lack some features but they got the basic things right. While Breakpoint, it seems like too rushed a product. The shooting, the movement, the optimization, they all feel off and if I must be honest, just plain awful.
