How are people keeping the game fresh recently?

I love for Honor it's a unique game but along with that comes some unique frustrations that no other game gives me. How are people keeping the game fresh and fun recently? Close to the point of uninstalling the game for a while and find some other games that catch my interest but im not sure im ready to hit the uninstall button yet. Don't get the point of this post wrong.... this isnt a rage quit type of post about one mechanic or another just want to take a break from the game and find some alternatives that way I can later on return and get some fun out of the game again. right now for me it's become a bit of a grind trying to play For honor which is a bad way to view a game.... is there some different ways to bring the fun back or should I find another game and maybe return to FH in a few months?

    Hey Daytime!

Have you tried picking up and learning any new heroes? A lot of them have some pretty unique mechanics that might be fun to try out!

I really have the same feel right now : being beaten up by some ultra punishing - easy to pull of mindgames constantly by characters like conq, shug or raider is just ruining the fun to me
I know i'm not alone thinking the mindgames of some characters are way too good and advantage them way too much : very good reward, very little to no risk depending on the character you're facing

It's frustrating, takes an extreme amount of experience to face effectively (or pick one of these character, really) and not that much to pull of.

Right now, i want to play the game and enjoy it, but the lack of tools to do anything against these mechanics is extremely disencouraging and after a few games, i just feel like i do not belong to this game community anymore : i'm willing to learn, not to be a sand bag for hundred of hours until i manage to read into people's mind every 2 sec

Other fights games uses unreactable mindgames too, but most of the time you have far more hp to learn how to react to your opponent, and counters are always possible
this is not the case in for honor, some moves simply can't be counter with some characters making the mindgame a win or not lose attack : why would anyone not spam a move this safe ?

I come back from time to time because this game is just so unique : but i know it won't last unless some major changes are made to make these unbalanced mindgames less insane

Some may say i'm salty, think whatever you want : i'm used to lose in fighting games, but for honor is the only one who achieved to make me feel this powerless and desperate to just have some fun
I play a lot of fighting games, from smash so SFV and i really am losing quite a lot, but even when i manage to win against say, an hitokiri for exemple, i still feel like i had everything but a good time. Some characters designs are just made to hit your nerves, and seeing your opponent just press heavy as soon as you attack to trade with hyperarmor for free is not healthy
same goes with fast, spammable, low cost & effective moves : spam is not really an issue in most games, but a mindgame really shines when you feel like you can take the advantage on your opponent for abusing a move : in FH it's not the case for some (and i'g say even a lot) of these moves that never allow to retaliate effectively

I find that picking up new heroes, especially the more challenging ones to master, is a good way to stay interested. It's a good way to gain an appreciation for a character you might otherwise dislike or never cared for. It might be tiresome to lose again and again when learning but it makes those victories feel earned and far more satisfying. Also, if you level that character up to rep ten you can play around with perks, looks, and as a bonus you know have another source for high salvage gain which you can turn over and use for xp boosts on another new character.

Everytime I think I'm gonna commit to a new hero I'll go and play matches with the now 5 heroes I have at rep 10+, scrap all the gear and dedicate it to xp boosts on someone new to kinda expedite the initial feat unlocks.
