It's a shame all Ubisoft games are merging into one experience, good news is you only have to buy one to get that "experience". Tweak a few things, slap a name on it from one of the franchises, reskin everything and BAM there ya go.

Like I said in quite a few other threads, there are already a lot of looter shooters on the market, theres no tactical military shooters though, I think it was a bad decision personally, I don't think they will retain many of the players that buy this game for long.
As a fifty-something, I'm enjoying crawling through the swamp picking foes off, and as a gamer of 35 years standing, I'd suggest that gamers are not defined by being old, young, casual or hardcore, even if some stereotypes may be deduced.

There's a danger that because a game or game series might have leaned in a particular direction in the past, that such gamers may be entitled to such mechanics in the future.

Unless a game has hidden what the game is about (which this one clearly has not) it falls to consumers to decide if they like the game or not.

From the closed beta and open beta so far, I can already see that I'll be greatly enjoying this game, and I share that not as a 'gung ho' looter shooter type.

Crawling through swamps and picking people off is the type of gameplay I just attributed to older gamers, slow paced, realistic.

So you're not really disproving my point, regardless there will always be outliers anyway, I was just speaking about the average player in those age groups tastes in my experience.

I'm sure if the looter shooter element wasn't in the game you'd like it just as much, basically what I mean is you aren't buying the game because it's a looter.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion.. I've played ubisoft and ghost recon games since the start.. when the trailer came out I expected a immersive tactical upgraded wildlands but I'm afraid this game is none of those things .. on all levels this feels like a downgrade to where the franchise was going.. yes i understand changes are needed to continue to adapt the game but these changes simply havent been good enough ..

let me list my concerns so u understand my view:

Camera too close , movement terrible which causes you to end up in positions you didnt want

Open world is dead no immersion copied and pasted npcs

Npcs seem as stupid as ever ( I shot one from a mile away missed and he stood behind a tree for a good 2 mins and then said I've lost him) I was standing in the middle of a field lol)

Health regain after fire fights. Biggest cop put surely if this is meant to have survival aspects why add health regain . Instead leave us knowing we only have two bandages left making us cautious and scared knowing two shots and were dead

    Game seems to easy overall

Graphics really poor. Very blurry ...

Ghost war just seems off .. seems like a new game ..

Shooting when hitting enemies seems boring no crisp hits ..I'm a sniper player and when u hit someone in wildlands u felt it .. the sound of the shot , seeing the player drop .. in this it feels all wrong

Looter shooter : this should never of been a looter .. we already have the division for that why make all ubi games looters .. it gets boring same as division 2 as people are sick of looting or at least I am and I loved division 1 but Division 2 died quick for me

So there my thoughts.. I really love tactical shooters and have always loved ubisoft but feel this is not good enough

I hope and bealive it will improve over time as wildlands did and hope even more ubi listens for once

    Thanks for your time

I can agree with the fact that the looter shooter and crafting doesnt belong in ghost recon. it makes the game feel to much like the division 2 and removed a lot of what i liked in wildlands. now i have to disagree with the realism argument. i have never played a ghost recon game thinking it was realistic.

i was disappointed with how similar ac odyssey was to ac origins. now breakpoint, being a continued story from wildlands (a game i really enjoyed), feeling like a reskined division 2. i will either be skipping this game or waiting for it to be on sale.

I wish I could find a gif of that scene in Scary Movie 2 when Cindy uses random junk she finds in a freezer to build a fully-functional tractor. lol
