Well, for some of us there comes a time when a "little" becomes "a lot". Most games require some level of compromise, I get that. .....but folks can reach a point where it feels like there simply is not enough there worth compromising for.

That's what GRB feels like to me as much as I want to like it since I absolutely loved GRW. .....which btw was a success in it's own right. GW wasn't as successful as it could have been for several reasons IMO one of which was the decision to add it so far from GRW's release date. ....another was the lack of options IMO.

As for appealing to a wider audience, when a game changes so much to appeal to a new, wider audience, it loses its identity, it's flavor and attractiveness to segments of the fan base like me, the OP and others. I don't wish the game to flop but if it is successful with all these changes (a lot of which even some of the potential buyers will admit they don't particularly like), how is that good? ......I mean for those who have lost what they loved in GRW, the franchise, etc.?

Moving on is fine and I have no problem doing that if that's what it boils down to, but I'm also going to voice my opinion and try to make a difference where I can as huge fan of GRW which was responsible for rekindling my interest in the franchise. Thankfully people keep speaking up or we wouldn't have the team AI making a comeback, class restrictions on weapons being altered, etc.

We all have our opinions on what we want from this franchise. Personally, all I care is what Ubi does at the end of the day. With the recent changes in how community feedback is handled, I just hope it flows as openly and freely as it once did when we had only the Community Staff to rely on. .....my hope is that it will even be better.

Again, thank Ulukai for submitting that letter.

    +1 Kean!

After the beta I'm taking a wait-n-see approach. I'm having far too much fun in Wildlands, still.

You and I are pvp guys but we enjoy a good campaign, I play Ghost Recon for the gameplay and the mechanics it has "Ghost Recon identity" and not because they decided to add features from others games because those features are the identity of those others games and not from Ghost Recon.

There is a difference from evolving feature and mechanics of a game and adding features of others game to attrack more people. I'm not so no it is not "adapt or don't play the game" it's the others people that come to the franchise to adapt and not the way around, it is not the Ghost Recon Fans that have to adapt to people comming from Division or else. When I play the division I play it because it is different of Ghost Recon and I don't want the Division to be a Ghost Recon game.

Does anyone here that is also a Sam Fisher fan want Splinter Cell to have tierloot/gearscore or Splinter cell to be somekind of GR game or AC game ? People want Splinter Cell to be a Splinter Cell game like we want Ghost Recon to remain as it is. We are not against changes but we want to play GHOST RECON !!!

But ... they are listening ...

Great letter ... thanks for doing that.

Like is said on WHataspp, im done with this topic, I know Eric Personally, he has work on the last
three Ghost Recon titles. I know as a graphic designer what he is doing. There is a creative process, something you
don't get or understand. You want Old Ghost Recon..go play it..no one is stopping you.
This is Ghost Recon like it or not...also Ill be downloading the Beta on my PC if you want to run some.

    Note:
I will not bump this thread any more, but i can tell you one thing:
"Misery Love Company" and you got about 10-15 who loves your company

My wife’s sister lives in Geneva and she is friends with one of the ‘top guys’ at Ubisoft — she always refers to him “he’s one of the main guys at Ubisoft”...

Not sure if she means one of the Guillimots or not? But she’s always saying I should meet him.
Might have to cash my chips next time I’m in Geneva and get some air time with this guy whoever he is...?

There is always a middle ground to be found.

These are some things that can be affected between Easy and Hard difficulties:

    - Damage to Enemies
    - Damage Taken
    - Enemy AI Behaviour

    - Number of Primary Weapons allowed. (2 Weapons ) for Normal and below, (1 Weapon) for Hard and Above
    - Access to Inventory. (Access to ALL weapons for Normal and below, (No Access until at Bivouac or Safe House) for Hard and Above.

    - Regenerative Health (I don't know why this should ever be a thing in a Survival shooter) Maybe allow for Very Easy.

    - Number of Healing items that can be carried limited for harder difficulties.

    - Aim Assist (Not Available for Extreme)

And any others that I haven't mentioned.

But the RPG elements, collecting flowers like it is World of Warcraft and drones that are bullet sponges are just unacceptable. Doesn't belong in Ghost Recon.
There were tanks in early Ghost Recon games. You would take them out with anti-tank weapons with 1-3 shots.

    Thanks for the letter Ulukai.
These mechanics dont really seem that realistic to me somehow. Sounds more like classic hard mode maybe enemies take a little more damage to defeat to get a real classic hard mode ..... oh wait. XD

Honestly i dont mind the tiered loot, somehow my mind tunes out and feels like playing wildlands and then i see a weapon drop and go "oooh nice" and then its tuned out again. I prefer Breakpoints progression over wildlands too, unlocking skill points just through playing the game with xp i like way more than farming resources in Wildlands.

To me Breakpoint feels like an improvement over Wildlands in almost every way, however i havent seen the DLC of course.

I do of course respect the opinion of players on this forum and can understand why this new iteration of Ghost Recon strays too far from the rest of the series, but it is not the only opinion.

Very nice letter and I commend you on your politeness. I have expressed the same things in numerous threads you have mentioned in your letter on this site a few weeks ago, and the only thing I wish to pass on to you is you WILL NOT receive a reply. UBISOFT has shown me and others from the GHOST RECON Community that our concerns have no value and that the RPG model that exists in the games that you mentioned in your letter is the direction they find the most important. My frustration with UBISOFT is that they presented the game as more tactical, realistic with survival elements and then state "You the GHOST RECON Community is our secret weapon..." Totally lied to us, and continue to push a game that you, me and everyone else in the GHOST RECON Community did not ask for nor do we want. I agree with you that this game will have an audience from the Division, AC, Far Cry, Destiny crowd. But they are destroying a franchise with a great history and they're discarding a loyal GR Fanbase. Again, let me commend you on your letter, I think it's spot on and I hope I am wrong and that you do receive a response. I only ask that you share with us that response, if you feel inclined to do so.

What is it with the Delta people? Aren't they supposed to be community spokesman? They don't seem very community oriented to me. Quite the opposite.

For someone who is a sanctioned representative of the community you definitely do not convey the diplomacy nor the statesman like attitude your post holds
It is such a shame how you degrade another persons opinion over the plight that you feel he is a minority in a majority.

Your opinion though it may be contrary to the OP is very much the same value of argument as OP creator. That being said you should merit his opinion as it is - a valued opinion not because he sent a letter or had breakfast but because this is the standard of a humanistic society in which we value each person without plight or prejudice.

You sir should hold a higher standard of saying what you are saying because of that logo you have. Represent it. Be a model to the community - someone who is fair and will take note of others opinions even if that contradicts his own because you are the "bigger guy".

I only hope that cooler heads prevail and that you truly uphold the standards of your post.
