Great letter and I hope that you get a sincere response!
It made me sad to cancel my pre-order for Breakpoint, but there was very little about the game that I enjoyed while playing the closed beta. It really is odd that Ubi would want so may elements from other games mixed into Breakpoint since GR is an entire different game. One would think that if each game is drastically different you would sell more games since people will play different games, but when they are to similar it just creates fatigue.
Really is a shame because I have always enjoyed GR games and I usually am very positive, but between the Gear Score, social space and cave that makes no sense, plaid camo and overall feel compared to GRW I had to pass.
I just don't know what happened in this year at Ubisoft but with Odyssey, New Dawn and Breakpoint all losing their identity in the same 12 months and becoming looter hybrids it just feels weird.
These are not bad games at all but to piggyback off decade (and longer) franchises in this way is very saddening. Has this great publishing house simply ran out of ideas and decided to follow trends instead of creating them?
Anyway, great letter and a good heartfelt read that mirrors a big concern in the community. I hope Ubisoft change this factory conveyor belt style of new games and go back to something creative and innovative real soon before it's too late.

Some back ground info on Ulukai.
In 2015, before Wildlands was released, he was with a group of us that met Yves Guillemot for a 30 minute meeting that lasted an hour and half discussing Ghost Recon. Ulukai was the first to show the courage to take on the CEO as an equal and demand an improvement from him. It's quite intimidating being in the boardroom with a billionaire in his headquarters; although he was a really relaxed and warm guy I have to say. As it was, Ulukai was the bravest one, the catalyst that encouraged the rest of us to speak up more and he demanded an end to graphics downgrades and poor PC ports and was insistent that gamers knew what they were getting. Those were big issues at the time, not so much anymore, and Ulukai played a part in that.
He is an ardent GR fan and always lets the Devs know what he wants with firmness, passion and from the heart. Not only that, he'd usually meet us with a crate of Belgian beer and we'd talk long into the night about Ghost Recon and drink those beers.
Good on you, buddy, I'm rooting for you.

You're wrong and yes Ubisoft owe us everything, they have the talents in their Studios but it is us who make the game great, who talk about it to others people to say hey this one is awesome buy it you won't regret it, it us who made those franchises live on the long term after release, it us who modded the games and added new feature for free and did tournaments around those same franchises. It is our love for those franchise that made those games greater !!!
