    ***Serious console question***

Hey guys I know some of you are probably sick of seeing this question but is console For Honor worth returning to?

I’ve had this game since release and played it non stop for a year or so, loved the strategy and uniqueness of the game. It’s now been almost a year since I have played because of the direction the game was going. I felt like with all the reworks and new characters they were making every character the same, mainly just speeding them up and taking away what made them unique. Since I’m a console player I never quite understood the turtle complaint because it’s harder to react on console. I loved the mind games of the og for honor and basically got tired of light spam and all the unblockables. I think the devs actually went overboard on listening to the community but that’s a post for another time.

So has the game improved or have things just gotten worse?

The reason you quit has only gotten amplified. The game used to be the best fighting game i ever played but after the last couple of updates where they buff some chars & not the others & then introduce broken chars into the game [Jorm] it has become the single most unbalanced game ive ever owned.

Outside of the lack of functionality with the continued bugs & crashes & errors & irregularities in the combat system, certain heros are EXTREMELY more advantageous than others.

Dont even try to play Shinobi, Gladiator, Centurion, Warlord, Jiang Jun, Aramusha, or Highlander. They are discarded trash that have been nerfed into being unusable in the game. I also have 194 reps combined into some of the chars I just named. [70 Glad, 70 Cent, 34 JJ, 8 Warlord, & 2 on Musha].

The frame rate & broken speed on animations that lack proper frames helps the urge to smash your consoles controller into oblivion.

Aw man that really sucks to hear. Like you I thought this was the best fighting game too and it was awesome to rep the knights, Deus Vult! I hope something similar to og for honor is released some day, whether that’s a new IP or for honor 2. I don’t hate the game just stopped playing because it wasn’t as fun, intense and skill oriented as it used to be and I was hoping that changed for the better in the last year.

Maybe switching to PC is the answer. It seems more tactical on there

I've tried both PS4 and PC. I would say the game is definitely more fluid and smooth on the PC and that helps makes things slightly more reactable but it's not significant. I've gone back to PS4 because I don't want to build up all my 100,000 steel and my Conq rep back to 70 again.

I can agree JJ is decent but hes been nerfed to a shell of himself. If his heavies had the hyper armor of Hito then he'd be good again.

Highlander needs some help. I can only say this cuz of what ive heard grom friends & seen ppl say on these forums; I dont play the char myself.

Highlander is difficult to use, I don't think he's terrible, it's just a lot easier to light spam him than it is for him to land a crushing counter to interrupt someone light spamming.

If you get a HL out of offensive mode and aggressively attack with your fastest attacks and stay close, there's not much he can do besides weather the storm and wait for you to run out of stamina.

His celtic curse is useless against anyone with even decent parry skills, his lights are too slow to be viable against anyone with faster lights, which is most of the heroes.

I mean the balance of original for honor was a mess and I have no idea how that could been change and letting it stay original.

I mean I’m much more happy with what we have now.

But then again that’s my opinion.

Yeah his offensive dodges and kicks are good, but like I said, once you knock him out of offensive stance, he's in trouble if they take advantage of it and keep pressure up.

I love HL, it's just way easier to do well with many of the other heroes.
