Thank you! This is definitely 2 steps backwards to take 2 steps forward...Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
This is a support forum, meant for discussing the game and giving feedback (crying is also feedback).
It's what this website is build for, mostly.
What we could change, is the tone people often use here. I agree that the crying is ridiculous at times, and I believe you can achieve the same effect by using proper sentences and a lot less toxicity.
What I also don't like to see is people threatening with the playerbase. IE "If you don't change this, people will abandon this game just like what happened in the first game!" It makes you look stupid if you think you know why players left.
In short: More crying, but with proper arguments and a more positive tone please.
Agreed, I play games for fun and so if the devs get this game where it is enjoyable for me I will play it, if they don't I won't. For those more invested in and more passionate about the game, they are entitled to voice their opinions and to lobby the devs for the improvements/fixes they feel should happen. I don't see why they should be asked (basically) to shut up.Originally Posted by SevenNVD Go to original post
Really? I'm pretty sure that every single expansion release of WoW has had some kind of skill/class rebalance and that game has been out for… what… 10 years or 14 years or something.Originally Posted by Ranger_Logan Go to original post
Balance passes happen in games, especially live service MMO style games. This isn't single player Splinter Cell or something. Online MMO games work differently than single player games as do their patches and balancing.
If some people are seeing this as a small issue then you must have been playing a different game. For I don't know how long, my gear has remained pretty much exactly the same, it was a rare thing to see something better that what I already had so I just either deconstructed it or sold it, usually the first. I wasn't anywhere near min max. I was using the 416 (never like the EB) with Nemesis and about 90 something DTE. Imagine what will happen to my gear. The 416 is getting a nerf on its base damage, I am also losing HS damage from the Nemesis holstered talent nerf, and even more DTE from the talent nerf. What do you think will happen to my gear with all these nerfs? Pretty much useless and will start to farm for new stuff again, and they will probably nerf the next items I collect in TU7. If their and your definition of changes is simply making all our gear useless with each new patch then I guess we have different definition of changes to the game. If these changes go live then I am simply out and will never bother again. Their solution to everything is nerf whatever people are using, Nerfssive doing what they do worst.
Agreed! Who doesn't like playing the same old missions for the umpteenth time which reward us with "terrific" loot which will again be nerfed in the future! I mean I personally loved playing Grand Washington for the 10,000th time with gear that was nerfed four times and I spent hundreds of hours grinding for. I can't wait for the next update when the devs do it all over again and hopefully there will be little to no new content to play it with. I have hated games like Destiny coz they have so much content and so little nerfs and for some reasons the dimwits at bungee seem to be buffing stuff to bring them upto level. My only assumption is that they were all high and should take a page from Ubisoft/massive's book and stick it to their drawing board!Originally Posted by MadBede Go to original post
I guess that talents aren't stackable anymore isn't that bad at all. A build isn't completely rendered useless as a good build will still dish out a lot of damage and this is more than enough for all the content in the game.
What they did is giving the playes a chance that are using gear sets as they get all the bonus with 4 pieces instead of 6. So they have even a chance to get a stronger talent on the other two items equipped. A friend of mine is pretty happy as he usually plays a gear set but was unhappy about the fact that he couldn't use any other gear piece just for one specific talent. Now is coming the time he can finally do that and even with stronger talents than ever before.
I'm trying to see this from your perspective. As MMO's have always done this. So...Originally Posted by DarkKnight27us Go to original post
Game mechanics, gear items, talents, etc. & whatnot since the development stages; X years in development & testing... so they thought that NOW is the right time to make these changes?! Like I said, these are major game changes, not tweaks or rock-paper-scissors balancing, that should've been handled waaay before this time.
