I can appreciate the sentiment, I’m just not sure I wanna do it every title update anymore. I’ll also be the first to admit that I knew it was going to be this way when I bought the game. We’ll see what it looks like when it actually comes out, just not very optimistic.

so, I suppose you wouldn't complain if a friend took you to within 400 metres of your destination, took a left turn and started the journey again, only to keep repeating this nonsense and you never actually reach your destination, you just waste a lot of time by starting your journey over again and again.

Yes, we can grind for specific gear in zones. We're still at the mercy of the bad RNG from before however. I'm trashing gear at the same rate as before the patch, I just know what specific item I'll be looting that has terrible stats. I've played missions every day in the PTS since it launched. I've has 1 person join a group in the MM for a mission. To all of those complaining about the complainers, don't worry. They won't be doing it long and you can run all these missions solo to regrind your builds. I like some new talents, don't like the unique talents very much. It doesn't matter what we like, we're getting what we're getting. The EB nerf has done a tremendous job I'm afraid.

The game was never about the destination, always about the journey. Endgame=hamster wheel.

On top of that, if you've been hoarding a bit you should have no trouble whatsoever to get a great build with the new recalibration. Took me under 5 minutes to get a worthy replacement, and I haven't even touched most of the stuff in my stash yet. Yes, some finetuning is needed, but most changes actually make sense. Gear sets make much more sense now (and the way to Classified sets is now open), previously useless sets are now very much viable (e.g. Hardwired, Ongoing Directive, haven't tried the rest yet). New talents are very nice too.

But as always, people focus only on the stuff that's nerfed while conveniently leaving out all the stuff that's buffed/added. The game was becoming pretty stale for me (haven't played in weeks), but with much more builds viable I'm looking forward to this update to make it to Live.

EXACTLY. People are too focused on the simplistic view of their favourite thing getting nerfed, while ignoring other changes that help compensate for that. If someone is complaining about farming for new gear in a looter shooter, then maybe the game isn't for them.

But this thread is complaining about complainers. I'm not sure that's any better.

Farming isn't the issue with this game. It's your rewards for farming, is more punishment the reward. Seriously, some have spent months building our builds, so that because they can't find a way to keep things moving forward, they want us to reset and start over, every time they have new ideas or stuff coming out.

Surely the destination of the end game is to min/max your build(s). which with constant nerfs and/or changes will not happen soon.
