Based on my limited search..you may not want to shade the game unless you're pooter is top notch.

..and of course..you still need to subject yourselves to programs that are, or not allowed. We would have to get an absolute from Ubi.

I mean I've used ReShade before and had no issues, but that could have been BE just now getting around to it, even though all I did was just add some nicer shades and more color, since I'm a stickler for that kind of thing.

    use Reshade version 4.2.0

you can get the RT shader plus some presents here ---> https://mega.nz/#F!thhw3CAK!99BCJGTiNGnHSH5ASOA8aQ
thats the Ray Tracing AO i was talking about.
It also has something that sort of mimicks the look of ray-traced Global Illumination, but that is a preferences thing.

You could try MXAO if you don't like Siege's AO, or you could also try the colored AO called PPFX SDAO

Reshade can do a bunch of awesome stuff to makes games look many years younger.

In the case of the RT shader, it can do path-traced AO, which is just superior in every way to regular AO and also adds additional definition to the environment that regular AO just can't do.

Normally when people talk about AO, what they mean is that the corners where walls meet is slightly darker than the edge of the wall.

RT AO adds a whole level of detail beyond that. It can also simulate some aspects of global illumination, although being a screen space shader, that is still a process being worked on by the shader author.

of coarse, even the regular reshade shaders can do a lot to tweak the look in a lot of smaller ways

if neither of those videos sell you on it then i think nothing is going to though
would love to see a video using siege as an example to see how it looks.
