It's strange to see you arguing this Tyrian. You've spent six months complaining about RL being lazy or inept, and now here you are arguing against implementing a common sense feature, and your reasoning is:

1) It takes a lot of storage space. There's no evidence of this. In fact the numbers suggest otherwise. You can't even come up with numbers showing it's as much storage as PSN offers to one single person out of the 40M or so with PS+.
2) There is some Ubi defined storage limit, which you think this game might hit, and there's no way around that. There's no evidence of this either.

It's far more likely that it's due to what you've been saying for the last six months.

You seem to not understand what I said there at all. That part wasn't about storage limits, and I was only suggesting RL's hands may be tied on some aspects of the leaderboards.

As far as storage and management/access, you can assert it's trivial based on lowball estimates, skipping details, and false comparisons (no, random access leaderboard data tables aren't comparable to file storage), but that doesn't make it trivial. I'm dubious multiplying data they already keep a surprising amount of comes without consequence.

I don't know why you conflate my not agreeing with you as defending RL. Those are pretty unrelated things, and make it look like you're just flailing looking for a line of attack.

Fight for it if you want. Like I said, it's something everyone wants. I just suspect it isn't going to be on the table, and I think player contracts has way more legs for the effort (and I further suspect we'll never see both added--if anything that takes effort is on the table in the first place).

I would guess they have a budget for ongoing costs of supporting the game, increasing the storage requirements would effect this.
