Ghost Recon - Works fine.
Guerilla Mode - Exit to desktop
Ghost Mode -
Ghost war - Exits to Desktop
Mercenaries - Exits to desktop
Narco Road DLC - Exit to Desktop
Fallen Ghost DLC - Exit to Desktop
Hit either Back or ESC and choose back to Main Menu to do this. You either get completely knocked to the desktop. Or it exits the whole game, goes back to the desktop and then reloads Ghost Recon Wildlands splash menu and relaunches the game.
I'm not sure if they made it this way or it is a glitch. But that is kinda crazy to have it completely exit out a game and relaunch. Same as the map closing after you choose a mission. It doesn't close on consoles but it does on the PC. You are constantly having to reopen the map to do stuff for each thing you pick. Why does it work correctly on consoles and not for the PC users?
I know it really doesn't matter now but someone has been asleep at Ubisoft for a year now and not fixing stuff that needs to be fixed. These would have been simple fixes but yet never corrected or even thought about. Makes you wonder if they even test or play their own games.
This game is already slow as molasses in winter loading in. It either loads painfully slow or gets stuck at the 75% mark and sits there. It doesn't matter what you have it on, an SSD, M.2, Raid-0. It still loads slow for some reason that they can't fix. It is what it is though.
Are you stating that you do not get an error message when attempting to return to the Main Menu"

That pretty much sums it up for me on my end. On windows, 10 Pro x64 also if that helps anyone out.

I'm also on Windows 7 x64. Quit to desktop works fine, but quit to main menu crashes everything except campaign. It's been like that since Mercenaries update.
TBH, quit to main menu option never worked properly. It was slow, sometimes it would quit to desktop instead without any error and half the time the game would lose connectivity to Ubi servers, or randomly change NAT status from open to moderate or even strict on occasion. It was always better and safer to just quit the game to desktop, then launch it again and run campaign/other game modes/DLC.
That is how ubisoft show us appreciation for being loyal players for 2 years, leave us with “Mercenaries” that don’t even work and at the same time screw the main game, well done Ubi
