This trailer is greatest and most excellent explanation why there should be AI teammates from the release and why I'm not a big fan of coop! Great work!Originally Posted by FoxFort. Go to original post
P.S. Honestly, this trailer is funny and I kinda liked it.
I've had friends bring in one of their buddies that played like Lil Wayne in Wildlands before, he was removed from the game pretty quickly.
Even if it was actually Lil Wayne I think I'd pass. If this game was remotely realistic they probably could have made a video with ex spec ops guys playing, it would have been a much better video, but it wouldn't have hyped up the kids as much I guess.
I know who he is (from my kids and nephew) and I still don't care for him. Never have.Originally Posted by Agent..Stark Go to original post
I had to Google him.
There definitely seems to be a very specific target audience they're after with this particular trailer. It seems to vary from trailer to trailer.
On the one hand you have the likes of Jon Bernthal's live action trailer which was far more in keeping with the original thoughts of the game, and seems to be directed at those of us looking to get immersed in the story and tactics, and generally Ghost Recon - albeit hollywood'd. The 'milsim' crowd I suppose.
And then on the other hand you had the cartoon/fairy tale 'episodes' and those weird bits of art for the classes, seemingly aimed at those interested not necessarily in Ghost Recon, but in the various mechanics the game is offering and how straightforward it is. The 'casual' crowd perhaps.
Then there was the 'What is Breakpoint?' for the Youtubers and Bloggers, and streamers etc to talk about.
Then this, clearly for the dudebro's and younger players.
I perfectly understand wanting to appeal to as many people as possible - the more people are interested, the more money comes in eventually - the marketing team should be out there, my hats off to them, but it's not just the marketing team; the whole game has been lacking focus. Every team, top to bottom, don't seem to be working to the same parameters, or someone up high can't make up their mind. Either way, it's showing.
The '****balls' joke too, and I may just be reading too much into this, but there were a lot of people wondering what happened to the previous voice actor for Nomad, and why he didn't come back. The joke felt more like someone making fun of that part of the community. "What do they want me to say?" He says, jaded *****balls* "It's gonna cost them extra this time."
Most of the people complaining about this trailer have one of two problems:Originally Posted by Wild-Recon Go to original post

or
2.) They have never played in public matchmaking.
It's a video game guys. It's not real life. And if you can't find humor in a live-action trailer featuring a washed-up rapper ten years past his prime playing a video game you're looking forward to, all while he is "Leeeeeeeroy Jenkinsss!"-ing his teammates into sticky situations, then you *probably* were one of the gamers complaining about Nomad's constant use of "S#!?balls!" in Wildlands.
Go fetch your funny bones guys. Just enjoy some lighthearted jokes for once.
