As then, the advert is aimed at the real life experience of playing the fantasy game, not the game experience of playing the fantasy "real life". Most adverts are aimed at the latter.
Don't get me wrong, my usual play sessions had moments like that. But you usually don't market horror movies with people laughing in the audience. You might do it when your brand is well enough established, just at this point in time with 50% of the forum saying the game misses the mark of their core supports, to me its a bad time to make such a marketing campaign. This campaign is clearly adressed to the casual gamer, not people interested in tactial games - and that's what you tell anybody seeing it.

Let me be clear, I am a former soldier, a tactical game entusiast, and a person who does not relate to RAP culture in the slightest. That said, this trailer was an amazingly accurate represtation of the nature of my group, the 3 tactical players and a rambo runner.

Just call me Lil' Tunafish, I got your revive.

This trailer is really good because it finally shows us what the game is actually like, and how it was designed to be played from the beginning.

I would be disappointed if they still tried to sell this game as a tense survival scenario behind enemy lines, like in the early marketing material.

Are you implying that Ubisoft is doing false marketing??? that they said it was a survival game just to get money from the GR fans???
And then made that crappy video just to say "**** you it was a looter shooter game from the start???

I sure hope you're wrong for Ubisofts sake

The commercial is well made though, it's funny and represents AFK moments in online gaming.

Why would this kind of commercial be appropriate for GR franchise? Does this mean I can experience this kind of moments only in Brakepoint? (this is in every online game)

Perhaps I get to play with gamers who are constantly getting AFK when teams need them? Also shows me this is a casual game, since LW is playing it, he is more fit to promote GTA San Andreas than Ghost Recon.

CoD franchise is creating casual games,. Activision almost always promotes, "You are just some dude with boring job or a student, but in CoD you're a special ops and get to do this and that which you wont do in real life" Then you get interested eventhough you know game is not speical ops as them make it.

Breakpoint: "OMG you get to experience AFK gaming" !!!

I thought it was great. I always get the feeling that ubisoft want to grab GR fans by the lapels and shout "ITS ONLY A GAME". Sometimes this community has more discussions about real guns and military stuff that actually video game content. This was a cool reminder of the point.... Be nice to have those moves tho.

Its doesnt have to be wrong and some people like it, but remember what Ubisoft said what kind of game breakpoint would be like first time.
But since there is still the open beta to come apparently, i'll guess people will have to wait and see what they have changed.
