For anyone interested in learning about the competitive side of Dominion or just looking to get better at the game Zer0_craic has made this excellent educational resource:

Hope he sticks to making more videos like this. The macro plays as he puts it is largely what the main player base isn't familiar with when it comes to playing dominion. And I think everyone would have a much better experience if they could pick up on this stuff and get it down pat.

Yeah, hit stun manipulation in my opinion is one of the many issues that needs to be fixed. You shouldn't get punished for blocking an attack. Reducing the hit stun recovery or allowing you to cancel hit stun recoveries with dodging or something while allowing you to cb during recoveries should fix it.

Ehhh. This specific situation is egregious and should be addressed. But hitstun/block stun usage for ganks is something that should absolutely stay as this is how you setup ganks. Blocking is a passive action for most of the cast so the idea that it should be unpunishable in a blanket sense is just silly. (also CGB timing is still something this gank works on. it's just done slightly different.)

Kinda agree, kinda disagree. Damage these days seems to be getting absolutely off the chain and geared around killing tanks + there is an abundance of unblockable options to force action from someone being ganked. The other issue is that the first hit in many setups won't give any revenge (this is my main gripe) as only the second hit counts under the new system and as its not blocked (given it will hit) which many times barely moves the revenge meter (hit 1/setup = a 1v1, hit 2 = the start of 2 v 1). On the flip side of that blocking a couple of hits seems to feed way too much revenge for what is (like you said) essentially a passive action and the crazy damage figures + revenge can melt at a silly rate (at times feels like old revenge builds have popped into the game to say hello) - the blocks mean a bad team player in a gank will feed revenge almost instantly, and running in to countergank runs hazards of giving revenge far to fast (almost needs to have a 'negative revenge' factor applied to players ganking so if backup arrives there is a delay in their own revenge generation)

I wouldn't have an issue with the above however correctly avoiding/interupting many of the setups with aggressive actions does not actually give any revenge either... successfully dodge a bash/unblockable, switch to enemy 2 and interrupt? Congrats... no revenge gain for you...

To be honest half that video just seems like common sense & chunks of it feel like problems/flaws with the game being highlighted
