We want to see Silent Hunter 6, with even more realism, incredible graphics and the traditional super fun gameplay that ubisoft have provided through the entire silent hunter series. Give us Silent Hunter 6, I will be the first to buy it. I cross my heart I will pay for the game if you dont put another drm in it, I swear I WILL pay for it.
If SH6 is made using the same ideas as SH5 then no I don't want SH6, I consider SH5 to be a waste of money frankly.
If SH6 is made as an updated SH3 with the good aspects of 5 (i.e. graphics, full walk round capability) and with the good aspects of 3 e.g. Full war duration, proper control system, decent targetting system, then I might consider buying it when the price dropped.
If they include any sort of DRM beyond a key code then I would probably ignore it. I MIGHT be able to put up with them using, say, Steam as a DRM system, but only maybe.
The other factor currnetly lacking is any sort of support from Ubi last I checked SH5 is still in need of patching. Until they decide that the community here is worth their attention I will most likely not buy SH6.
I voted No... for a number of reasons.

Ubisoft, who would make SH6, does not care what us, their customers, want or think. This is a proven fact. They dont listen to us, the consumer. I do not want to buy anything from a company where they could care less about their customers.

Ubisoft has lied to us, their customer. I will not buy anything from a company that is not honest and upfront with us.

SH5 turned out to be a piece of garbage because Ubisoft is so out of touch with what we, their customers, want. This is another proven fact. When Ubisoft was thinking about making SH5, they asked the sub sim community what we would like to see in SH5. We provided them with a nice list. Instead, they discarded the list completely and made SH5 into a stupid kiddies shoot em up arcade type game.
The only way I may consider getting another uboat/sub sim is if another company made it. Even if Ubisoft went back to SH3 or SH4, and built from that, I would not buy it, because their customer support/relations sucks.
I think if there should be a new silent hunter 6, they need to go back to what worked with SH3 and 4. Ubisoft needs to redeem them selves. I was really disapointed with SH5, to the point were I uninstalled it. I was really disapointed that they took away Detailed TDC, Crew Management, Gramaphone, Radio...what the hell thats what made the game cool in the first place. What the hell were they thinking!! SH5 is a NITCH Game and always will be. They where tring to catter to the masses, when WW2 Subs are kind of a specail interest novelty thing. So SH5 was basicly a Flop.. My sudjestion would be go back to the old, but keep the complete inside of the sub. Then Increase the grffics. That the only thing I liked about SH5 is that you can walk around inside the sub.
The lack of product support has force me to blacklist all UbiSoft titles, past, present and future.Originally posted by Wolfvram_2nd:

Even after the 2nd Patch there is just to many bug and unfinished area's.
IMO, the release was not even ready for BETA testing.
hi all
sorry they could make another million games but they have had all the money they are going to get out of me,
why?
the multiplayer stock games, not good enough by a long way, it has within the mission editor all the you need to make a good solid mutiplayer game,
differing settings for the destroyers from poor to elite,
planes, battleships, ports with land defences merchants etc all can be set as above
and a REAL war 1939 to 1945 to take a small lead from and all they can think up is 8 maps that are at best utter crap,
they must have the imagination of an ANVIL
but the biggest let down for me was that if you make other multiplayer maps all the players have to have that map installed on there computer if not they dont get into the server
fantastic with that in mind how did we ever evole and get out of the caves
the sad thing is that SH3 was produced far to early in the gaming timeline if it had been produced now with all the computing power that is available to us all it woud have been great if not better than that
but the developers lost there way, its nice to look at but of no use to the gamers
yes they had all they needed from the feed back from forums just like this one but totally ignored it
total arrogance on a massive scale
if you need advice on how to fix a car ask the lads selling burgers at mcdonalds they are bound to know
