Game goes into black screen during prologue.

Every time i enter the trailer to meet up with Burke the game fades to an infinite black screen and i have never seen any other situations on this problem.

    Hey Ghausta,

It wasn't a known issue with the game. What are your system requirements please? And are you on a laptop or desktop?

One workaround that you may be able to do easily for something like this would be if you have cloud saves enabled and have access to another computer (maybe a friend could assist you with this) to just load your cloud save on and play this one part of the game on to get past it. Once the game has saved you would be able to load it back on your own computer again and continue playing, hopefully without any further issues.

    Black screen before cutscene

    I have the same problem.

I just bought the game yesterday, and played it like 10 minutes.
When I escaped from the helicopter crash site and went to the barrack where burke is waiting, first time there was just a black screen as mentioned.
Alt+F4, tried again.. second try, the cutscene started... but wow, then I've tried the car chase like 50 times on hard, then on normal, then on easy.
Couldn't do it. So I thought, let's start the game over as the woman character.
I started the new game, went thru the whole thing again until I came to that barrack...black screen...Alt+F4....5x again...same...

I deleted the game, installed again, updated my graphics driver... changed the graphic settings to default....same problem..

I really have to say.. the game works perfectly on ultra so my graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 970) cant be the problem right?
and first time it worked after a one time crash... but since then nothing helps... and it really pisses me off!!

Ubisoft, do you have a solution to this meanwhile?
Because none of my friends have Far Cry 5 so I cant do the workaround as recommended.

    In advance...thanks for any help!

    Hey,

Can you please make sure that you have updated your GPU Drivers to the latest available?

Maybe make sure you Validate/Verify Files in the Steam/uPlay client to make 100% sure the game has access to the correct data?

Maybe even consider turning off/on the HD textures?

    Thank you for your reply..

I updated it to the newest version, but this didn't help. Even worse... since I updated, I have problems with other games like RL. I experience lags and total freezes, even during ingame menu

I did that too. I actually tried every graphics option possible ingame (like every resolution, turnt off/on every option aswell).

The day I played the game first time, I've set ultra graphics, no HD textures tho. I could play it smoothly.
As described, at first I got that black screen at the cutscene, but in a second try, the cutscene played and I could continue the gameplay.
But after that... you know the rest...

Try go near the trailer and wait for 1-2 mins and then go inside.

Did this work out for you? Beacause i tried it a few times (first 1-2 minutes, then 5 minutes, then 10 minutes), then i gave up.
