That's why I wanted ranged gb to hit impartially in the dodge frames with my new kick mix-up, I knew (predicted) the move was going to get nerfed so I tried to make it relevant again.
And because it was kind of toxic, I figured out it would not matter to remove it because it would just get weaker as time passes.
But then it's just like an unblockable ranged attack and what do people do when they see shinobi perform a range attack, they parry sure, but they can also dodge. So you would have a way to negate all of shinobi's ranged presure.
What I proposed in my rework post is more likely to become useful. It also decentralises shinobi's kit on distance and I think lots of people would like the character more if he had a better way to fight up close instead of fighting a mile away in a melee fighting game.
There are a lot of undocumented changes actually. Considering the nature of them and how frequent they're popping up it's seeming like whatever version of the game they updated with the intended mid season changes was not what was the live version of the game pre update. So they accidentally pushed an older version with the update.
