Hi CJ, will not bother, it's not the calibre or type of weapon it is all down to the person. i am happy with the four weapons i have, they make a hole in any combatants gear, i just need to upgrade. My weapon score is low, so is my score. got right to the end of Manning National Zoo, taking on the last BOSS,killed her but was over run by those suicide bombers, god as a single player and not hardened to gaming don't they allow for this,.Hell how do you put her down. The game took me a few hours to get to the end boss, i would like to as with other games why is there no save point, hell i have to eat and sleep just like any one else.Do not get me wrong i love the mission and the challenge, but to me a little one sided. i know a lot have completed the mission even on a lower level than me, so please no negative comments like ' well don't play the game or get a life' as i read in other threads. Yours JR.
Yeah I pretty much dislike the zoo because of the length and size, but mainly because of the boss fight at the end. The mechanic of damage immune is out of place in this game, if she was a Dark Lord of The Sith using her cohorts life force to protect her own it would be more acceptable.
Couple that with the clunky movement over the rocks and other terrain and the whole instance is irritating. Don't get me wrong the graphics and setting look amazing, and the tech we are using is not at all present day, it's more future tech. But ....
I ran it with the turret and fixer drone. My tactic was to clear all enemies, reset my turret, then place c4 and sprint back cover and throw out my drone.
I like the cover on the right side of final showdown area but twice bad guys run out of the door behind you. My LMG melts them when they stack up like that.
My turret occasionally ignored the suiciders but they always get my shooting attention first.
If they get too close and catch you between mags/swaps.. sprint away, use the terrain to your advantage, complete your swap, spin180, then turn them into soup.
When she finally spawns at the end,I usually run up the stairs to the area where you first jump down to get the event going..I put a turret on the crates at the ledge where it can see pretty much the whole platform, so that when she comes up there it's on her non stop..then fight the other mobs..
Seekers work really good on them..
when she finally gets up top I run down and try to get to the other side of the map where she spawns..she's usually dead by the time I get over there..
If you do die, you'll spawn right on the platform I'm talking about..Originally Posted by KSI redjohn911 Go to original post
Don't set the turret on the crate in the middle of the platform..use the ones on the ledge..
... that title (__o__) though...
well.. eventually you run an area enough times.. you will get to know the environments well enough.. and the Ai behaviours.
Get too close and they will melee you.. lean too far back and they will spam you with grenades and flamethrowers..drones...etc.
It's tougher to say not knowing your playstyle.. and your build & skills setup...
I play in cover usually but lately with a shield build.. i mix my cover with shield when i move around.
general tips i would recommend...
flank the flankers... (means really using the mini-map and understanding where the enemies are and what the mini-map is telling you about enemy positions)
protect your back and flanks always. Have your backside face the "safe" area you know or came from.
Use walls and environmental objects to "block" your sides and back from potential enemy fire.
Learn enemy weakpoints... (basically you shoot anything red they they have such as grenade bags or flamethrower fuel tanks).
Use grenades when overwhelmed.. learn timing throwing grenades.
Hope that helps a little.
Of course you can always watch videos of other player's gameplay on how they tackled a particular mission and maybe you can learn some tactics and styles you can incorporate into your own methods.
