Can Ghost Recon Breakpoint be purchased and played without Uplay+

I have tried purchasing the game but cannot complete my purchase without empowering the Ubi store to start charging for Uplay+

Anyone know the answers?

It would be great if some 'official' Ubi representitive responded.

You don't need Uplay+ install the other Uplay client.
